Badger fans are turning on Bo Ryan and I mean fast!

Wow, they are being brutal. I dislike ,but respect Ryan..
Their fans sure are not giving him much rope. They sure have short memories. This sob has done alot for that program..One tough year and their are pulling out the long knives.

They can go ahead and fire him, and that would suit me just fine. Bo Ryan has made Wisconsin into a good program and I'd love to see them slip back into mediocrity. I'm sure a lot of other Big Ten fans felt the same way when Iowa decided to let Mr. Davis go...

Just ventured over there. Wow. They're really hating on Traevon Jackson also.

That's been going on for awhile now, I think. They were ripping him pretty hard when I checked over there following one of their earlier losses (can't remember which one, now).

I'm probably getting too much pleasure out of their suffering but their trolls have been unbelievably brutal over the past decade. Someone said it earlier and I agree. They have forgotten where they came from. Nobody expects them to grovel to any other fan base because they had sucked for the better part of 9 decades. A little humility would go a long way though.

It is funny because it's Badger fans who are the ones doing the whining, and it's funny because Bo Ryan is such a jerk.

However, do you wanna know what i thought of when I read some of those threads? I thought this sounds exactly like the Iowa boards during and after the 4-8 football season. The idiots came out of the woodwork and started making all sorts of ridiculous remarks. Then many of of us who had perspective were incredibly frustrated by what the board had become. A place for a minority of fair-weather over-emotional fans to ***** and moan and act like you know what you're talking about when in reality you don't have a damn clue compared to most D1 coaches. "Ferentz should do this. Ferentz should do that. Ferentz doesnt really care about winning. Ferentz is stuck in his ways. Ferentz won't change. Ferentz isnt playing the best QB. Ferentz is bringing Iowa back to the dark ages".

Like I said, I enjoy it because it is Wisconsin fans being humbled, and that's always worth checking out. Let's just not be too judgemental because every fan base has idiots and message boards give them a voice.

They are a fan base that has forgotten where they have come from. It was not that many years ago Wisconsin was a cellar dweller in both football and basketball.

I would love for them to desire a new coach to "take them to the next level" and find their Alfordv2.

When Alford left, he was the winningest coach in Big Ten Tournament History.

Their fans are disappointed, to say the least, but you don't have to delve into the in-game threads too far to find plenty of posters who think our players suck and our coach is in over his head. Some of these posters should seriously think about giving themselves a break from these forums after some of the crap they post.

I think that deep down they see they have a talent depleted team; in so far as, they don't have basketball athletes like Iowa, UM, MSU. They probably don't see it being much better next season. The hack n grab days are over and their paint is open for all to take.

And the two crap seasons that preceded it.

Says the guy who vehemently claimed Royce White would be a much better NBA player than Harrison Barnes (you're never gonna live that one down).

Look, we don't need to argue specifics about KF and the ups and downs of the football team. My main point is that a message board is a place where anyone can have a voice. In some cases that's a beautiful thing. In some cases it's a freakin train wreck. Every single fan base has fans who let their emotions get the best of them, and that often leads them to saying things that aren't even remotely rational.

Bo Ryan has brought a ton of success to Wisconsin basketball. They are still a tourney team in my opinion. The people claiming they are ready for someone different had better be careful what they wish for, and it would serve them well to think twice about what they are saying.

Whether they want someone different or not doesn't really matter. Bo Ryan is 66 years old and probably won't be around much longer. He might be feeling his age this year in the conference, and next year he will be 67. There is little doubt Ryan is a great coach, and it would be to bad if he went out on a sour note. There are a lot of guys that just try and stay around to long. They say thats what happened to Hayden Fry, but he tried to get back into coaching after he left Iowa.

So if he is 66 this year, and will be 67 next year, how old will he be the year after that?

Everybody has their different times. Its hard for me to believe it wouldn't be a fairly grueling schedule for a guy 66. The year after that, if he lives that long, he will be 68.

I understand what you're saying, but I wasn't addressing his age. Until he says he's thinking about retirement I'm going to assume he wants to be their head coach. He doesn't exactly seem like the kind of guy who wants to be sitting at home waiting to die. I was addressing the fact there are people on their message boards saying they are ready for someone different. Considering the success he's had at Wisconsin that is laughable. Especially when it looks like they can still make the tournament. It just screams "I'm a spoiled rotten fan and I've forgotten what school I'm actually cheering for". Unfortunately, winning consistently tends to bring along unrealistic expectations with it as well. It's incredibly difficult to sustain a high level of success at a school like Wisconsin or Iowa. Fans will always continue to expect more and more, but sometimes they need to take a step back and realize what they have is pretty sweet compared to where the program has been.

The only point I think an individual can make is that the entire Jared Uthoff situation really shined a bright light on the kind of jerkoff Bo Ryan is. I wouldn't be surprised if his demeanor has slowly started to turn people away, but until we see a noticeable difference in their recruiting I'm not sure you can even make that claim. It hasn't seemed to be a problem thus far.
