Penn State should be kicked to the curb if they refuse to suspend football for at least a season and reject associated B1G revenues.
This is an asinine comment. Talk about a reach.
Huh? That does nothing except make all 12 schools resentful, PSU for still having to travel, practice, etc., the other 11 for having to play what is, in effect, a meaningless game. PSU will travel with the bare minimum, tons of players, will leave, etc. A win over THAT level of PSU is barely better than a win over a FCS team.
It would also say more about the B1G that the conference is willing to boot one of its higher-profile schools with a pretty rich football tradition.
Either we boot them or we say, "Let it play out in court and with NCAA".

No - he's spot on. The issue is the cover up of a horrible series of incidents. No different than what happened in the church.
One problem with ND: with all the Pedo State references, it would pretty disingenuous to take a school whose whole existence/foundation would be the Catholic Church, which has had a few pedo incidents--not to mention cover-ups--of its own.

Sorry, but the dude has a point. If you are going to throw out PSU because of how they mishandled a serial pedophile case, you don't go looking for the Catholic Church as a replacement. That is unless you want to be the new face of irony.
And before you hammer me, understand I have two cousins that not only were victimized by a Priest, but were also victims of a brutal smear attack by the Diocese and larger church in general.

What do you mean THAT level of PSU? I'm saying they don't play at all.
Notre Dame was not party to the Catholic priest pedophilia scandal.
wow, there is all kinds of ****** going on in this thread. people notre dame being catholic is not going to be a reason they dont get invited to big ten. that's like saying they should avoid any other schools with p because thats only a few letters away from pedophile. Christmas Christ. no matter how crappy. this situation. is psu still will have a following that will bring in enough money to eventually turn this debacle around. there fans aren't just going to swap colors on the fly.
No, the dude has no point. ND is a catholic institution, the abuse didn't happen there. PSU is a state institution, maybe all state institutions should be scared. Maybe everyone in the Big Ten should be compared to what PSU did. See the stretch?
I in no way believe the PSU situation is the reason the P12/B1G agreement was called off. I heard that thing was dead in the water more than month ago. Some P12 schools were not happy with the thought of having to travel to the Midwest every other year and when the BCS agreement took the turn it did, it was reevaluated as potentially hurting teams' chances of getting into the playoff. My thoughts about the timing of the announcement is that it was a really bad PR decision. Just like the BTN not covering the Freeh press conference. They may have been trying to bury the story about the agreement going down, or foolishly thought they could change the news cycle with this story. They should have foreseen that the two stories would get linked. But, although Delaney is good with
many things, his PR has never been
his strong suit.
