B1G Power Rankings for 2/11

You are crazy if you don't think Minnesota and Illinois have a wealth of talent. They just haven't been coached well. Illinois appears to be turning it around. We will see if Minny can do the same.

Minnesota has talent, but they don't have too much depth too keep them going against equal talent or teams with more depth.

No doubt. Illini just had an 11-game stretch in which they had 9 poor defensive performances and their 3 percentage dropped. All they needed was Groce doing something about it, which he finally has. Whether Tub is capable of the same turnaround remains to be seen.

I fail to see this huge "hypocrisy" that you speak of? Honestly I could really care less so I don't even know why I'm bothering to type this out. Brust never was enrolled or played one second or practiced for one second at Iowa. Brust didn't commit to Fran, he committed to Lickliter. Uthoff committed to Bo and took up a scholarship for a full season at Wisconsin. If we already hadn't had Uthoff committed we would have offered Aaron White as he'd camped at Wisconsin for several summers. Brust didn't occupy anyone on Iowa's scholarship for a year. What if Brust had taken a scholly up decided to transfer to Wisconsin and that meant you never would have had Marble? That's a whole lot different.

Besides it doesn't even freaking matter. We are 8-3 in the hunt for a championship and even if we never had Ben Brust at all, Bo would be winning with some other guy no one in the nation had ever heard of that Bo had coached up. Bo wins, it doesn't matter who is on the roster.

I'm going to put a big red bow on that situation and let you guys have fun with it. Bo and Wisconsin have clearly moved on and are moving on to the NCAA tournament......again.

And yet you continue to come around here with your throbbing butthurt.

Tubby's postgame was pretty telling. He doesn't understand why they can't win late games, thinks it's a psychology issue.
He might need to look in the mirror.

They can't win close games until they play the Hawks. Then they pull late game heroics out of their ***.

I think you and Bo should get together and make a baby.

Serious question: do you come to an Iowa message board for sound analysis of Wisconsin's basketball program?

He only comes around when Wisky is doing well. We wouldnt have heard from him if the Badgers dropped both OT games this past week. Then the next time he was back he would have claimed his busy life was to blame for the absence.

Minny has 5 solid players in the Hollins boys,Mbakwe,Coleman and Williams. I think their bench is short, tho.
Maybe as the long season wears on,that is catching up to them. Clearly, with Williams out yesterday, they were in trouble. That starting five has a lot of talent tho. I look for them to make a late run again,if Williams returns. Hope they wait until after next sunday vs Iowa.

I love it! Every reference you make the entire season is a slam on Wisconsin. "they beat Indiana @ Indiana but I'm still not sold on this team."

The only reason that you hate Coach Ryan is that he wins and you're jealous. If it's his nature on the sidelines then that's pretty hypocritical because Fran might be even more demonstrative.

I have no problems with Wisky. I usually pull for them. I was at one time a huge fan of Bo's, but his wining is getting old.

Mbakwe looks bored to me. He is 24 (I assume since it's his 6th year)...but what a physical speciman/presence. Last night he looked like he had never seen a double team before.

Rodney Williams was a stud recruit, Mbakwe is just not being aggressive.
Hollins can go off at any point in time.
Real issue is depth. Not as good as projected - Welch and Eliason are worse than predicted and taking the RS off that frosh was dumb.

Totally untrue. Go through my post history. I was here either the day of or the day after you beat us. In addition my story has remained the same all year. Wisconsin will be dangerous at times and struggle at others due to the young guards. I've said from the beginning that anyone that picks against UW to not make the tournament simply is choosing to disregard history that is over a decade and a half in length.

I pretty much agreed with Jon Miller's prediction (even though I don't need to say it every 5 seconds a la Jon) for Iowa's record but I assumed they would have beaten VaTech on the road. I actually think Iowa will make the tournament THIS season.

Other than ONE great win at home... who has Ohio State beaten? Their record vs top 25 teams is 1-6.

They are a huge paper tiger and its too bad Iowa doesn't get a crack at them in Carver.

The only reason you came back to post after the Hawks beat Wisky in Iowa City is because posters were calling you out saying you wouldnt be around if the Hawks won.

I have looked at your posting history and have called you on it mulitple times. Each time I have gotten the line about life being busy.

Yeah, you came on and made some snide remark about that game being Iowa's Super Bowl and then disappeared. There was even a thread asking where you disappeared to but now that Iowa has lost to Wisconsin you are posting all the time.

They're 16-0 against unranked teams and looked tough in (some of) their losses? I don't know, I think I agree with you. With the exception of the Michigan win, they're about as accomplished as Iowa.

OSU is in the top 20 on SoS.
