Alway have.

Ok...it was 30 years ago that the "Always have" comment was appropriate. MJ these days just isn't the same. When California legalized it, I happened to be at a restaurant across from a newly opened dispensary, and I thought, "why not, my wife is out of town (no way I could handle being around her high)...I'm going to pick up some weed. "

Holy crap...I don't know what they sold me, but I sat in my car for like two hours before I could actually drive home. It was nothing like the Mexican ditch weed that was so prevalent in mid 80s at Iowa. That must have been the stuff Steve King was talking about, you know the migrants with calves like cantaloupes carrying it across the border. LOL. What a freaking idiot. Hey Steve, you should really check the air conditioned tunnel systems with rail cars under the border. It's a little more sophisticated than migrants carrying bales of pot on their shoulders across the border. How does that dude keep getting elected...is the objective to find the dumbest guy in the district?

Isn't it called discrimination if people in the Iowa press box are allowed to have alcohol, but those of us in general seating aren't allowed to have beer and wine? And who in the "F" drinks wine at a football game??!?

About 10,000 Boone's Farm-filled botas back in 1974 say, "Hey!"
I remember those when I was a kid at Kinnick and watching Iowa fans around drink out them. Then, by the time I was old enough to drink, they just sort of vanished. I guess they were just a phase.

That phase ended when you realized you couldn't get rid of the damn leather taste.

@ColoradoHAWKEYE used to be a Grand Master at sneaking booze into Kinnick, btw. We should persuade him to devote a thread to proper & useful techniques. He was so good, he'll probably STILL refuse to pay for booze in Kinnick!

Honestly I would love this. I’m really tired of hearing about how easy the B1G west is. For one it’s not true, plus I’d like to play teams like Michigan and OSU more frequently.

I say play 10 conference games and get rid of the divisions. Top two teams play in the championship game. As a fan I would much rather pay to see a conference game rather than a non-conference against a MAC team. The divisions really screwed up some of the old rivalries that used to be fun to watch.

My other suggestion, which won't happen, is to get rid of Rutgers and Maryland and leave it as that or get two different teams such as Pitt and Notre Dame for example. If the BIG 10 wants to get more publicity and take over some of the spotlight the SEC has, they need to add some more prominent football teams. It has been discussed in nausea in the past but the BIG 10 still needs to try and get Notre Dame. It is a logical regional addition and the historical games played within the conference make it an easy fit. There has got to be a way to make the money work to get them added.

If the BIG 10 wants to put itself out there as the best conference they need to get have more conference games and eliminate the talk of the so called lesser games and weaker schedules by not giving the teams the chance to schedule them. With something set-up like that it would strengthen the conference when they are compared with the likes of Alabama that plays Troy and another FCS team every year. If the league champ is then compared side by side with Alabama or another team it would help to even out the bias that is associated with the SEC and hopefully give teh BIG 10 and advantage on the national stage

Wrap your brain around this. I was at a game in Kinnick where there was a keg...yes, a keg...in the student section. I shit you not. This was before my time as a student but I remember it well.

Before the days of uber security it was amazing what you could get away with. I grew up a short hop from IC. We'd drive up in the Summer and just walk right into Kinnick and down onto the field. We'd play catch and kick field goals for a half hour or so, only once did we get thrown out.

Sounds like the Big 12. I would prefer this format.

And have a systematic rotation of the teams you don't play so no one ever has a long gap without playing Ohio State.

Drinking beer in Kinnick will not be cheap. Someone told me $1 an ounce but I can’t believe that.
