Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME???

At least the Wisky punter didn't roll around on the ground like a soccer player.

Dude made a horrific mistake and cost his team dearly.

Did you see the shot of him when he realized Wisky didn't have to run any plays? I thought he was going to puke.

It's the rule and it was the right call. Congrats to the Badgers but they shouldn't really be gloating, they should consider themselves damn lucky that they won the game.

That punt was returned to the 5 yd line and if not for that penalty, MSU would most probably won the game.

It was less of a case of Wisconsin winning the game, but more so, MSU losing the game.

I hope so but they have got to jump 2 teams to get into the top 14 and be eligible. I do not see MSU slipping very far.

Michigan has a chance to jump Houston, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Michigan St. They will be in the Top 14.

Is this from Brad Edwards, interesting to see OSU jumping Bama.

I think there are many voters that are relieved with the OSU-OU outcome. I don't think too many people want a rematch and the blowout win gives them a reason to boost OSU and not look like it is just to avoid the rematch.

My sentiments exactly...this is how I wish my OP would have read, rather than making 90% of the people on this thread think I don't understand what the running into the kicker penalty is.

I just found it a wholly unsatisfying way to end the game, ESPECIALLY considering MSU had returned that punt all the way down into very easy scoring position. Makes me wish the backjudge (or whoever is responsible for that call) might have "accidentally" overlooked that particular moment.

I think it's further exacerbated for me that the punter was CLEARLY flopping if you watch the replay closely. I wasn't sure if he was simply run into or shot (possibly by D'Antonio...which I wouldn't put past him). And yes, I realize you're "supposed" to sell it...hell, punters are probably even COACHED to sell it for that matter. Whatever, I guess "that's football", but I kinda wish it wasn't (wish it was more like hockey and we could have a flopping penalty...especially for punters).

It was the head ref who called running into the kicker which is his call. But the outside badger blocker gave the sparty rusher a good block/shove so the ref could have easily not called this penalty. It probably shouldnt have been called as he was blocked into the kicker.

But you know what, dantonio had it come home to roost on him. They should have been setting up a return because their offense had been moving most of the game. A penalty is the last thing there just like Iowa against florida a few years back in the bowl game just before halftime.

What play were YOU watching? The guy who ran into the licker was off his blocker three or four steps before he got to the punter. Plenty of time to pullup when he realized he was not going to get there. Another fine example of Sparty's borderline dirty play. As others have mentioned here, Karma's a beech.

I am glad the flopping spartans and dantonio lost. Just saying the ref could have not thrown the flag because if you are blocked you are blocked.

I dont care if the punter took a dive because it was not subjective that the guy ran into him. The ref could have ate the flag since the player was blocked.

Dont you think the headlines man who called a slight bit of movement when the hawks snuck it on 4th and one against MSU could have ate the flag.

I see so much holding where they eat the flag it is funny.

Sparty would never have returned that punt that far. The entire stadium, including Wisky players on field, saw the flag and let up. He would never have made it past the 40. That said, msu still has pretty good odds to at least tie it up. punter got hit, it was the right call, flop or not. msu "flopped" all season and didn't deserve to represent B1G.

would love to see OSU jump to #2. They deserve it. However, I can only imagine the spin the Clowns would put on it, beating a team in NCG. I almost think two SEC teams would be better to put up with.
