Anyway you slice it

The Florida staff actually called an Iowa play in the first half over by their sideline. CJ checks, the coaches hear the check and about 6 coaches, Mcilwain included, are just going crazy pointing to the defense where the play is going and it went there. Stuffed for a 3 yard loss.

Iowa has no other checks, CJ couldn't check again he had to go with it. Imagine being a player on the field knowing the play is blown up but have no other choice to go with it. Just a pathetic scheme.

There is no way Smith, Scheel, Young and Falconer don't have enough talent to get at least 5 catches combined. Our talent might not be great but no way it's "can't catch a single pass" bad.

I agree. there are enough guys a team should be able to find someone to contribute. Isn't like these guys are not legit Div 1 recruits. I swear if they played at UNI or anywhere else, they could find ways to be open at times.

It's Iowa's scheme. Their routes just suck to no end. Every other team finds way to get a guy open in a zone. When Davis came he had the big idea to have WR option routes where they and the QB would read it. Well, that never materialized and killed Vandenburg his senior year. Never on the same page with the receivers. I hope they still are not trying to run that but run hard routes. In any case, whatever they are doing isn't working.

I agree how is this even possible that we cannot find any receivers that can get open except a gray-shirt from South Dakota that broke his foot and occasionally a walk-on from Dubuque?

OMG. This really puts it into perspective. Speaking of walk-ons, Iowa has WAY TOO MANY walk-on success stories. Yea, there are good stories, but a team having that many is proof recruiting is not up to snuff.

It's the scheme. Apparently it's pretty tough for our players to figure out, but it's super easy for the defenses to scheme against it.

The defenses are setting up pre snap to either force CJ to audible to a run, which they then switch before snap as they know he can't check out of it....

Or in passing formations, the corners take an inside edge which tells the WR to abandon the middle of the field and take those @#%#% 3 yard out passes, or they get forced down the sideline and we have to try the back shoulder throw, or CJ overthrows.

Every.....single.......game.

While I wanted KOK gone, hindsight it's now obvious the issue is with KF. I would take KOK back in a heartbeat as we at least throw across the middle of the field, and take advantage of our TE. KF limited KOK with the same predictable formations.....but we finished middle of the pack on offense. Under Davis we are at the back, and it's two years out of five that we've ruined Senior QB's

The fact that you believe that makes your decision to be my stalker even more ironic.

The word you want is "Iconic". You started it, wouldn't leave me alone, and now you don't like your own medicine.

And yes, you like attention. Maybe you need a ferret?

Your mission to get this board to pray for your recovery is now officially a success.

Though meant for someone else, you just don't quit. I'll give you an idea. You quit harassing me and we'll be done. I'll even change my signature. OK
