Anyone here

I take this stuff I saw on Shark Tank. I'd say it's working quite well, wouldn't you?

I think you should lay off the bleached chocolate chip cookies.

I find now that 8-10 oz of steak is adequate for me and I still feel fulfilled. I used to purchase the jumbo steak thinking I'd need it but now find it very difficult to sow down anything over 10 oz and would be just waste or eating to eat after that.

I could easily do the eat at 1 and 9 and fast until 1 the next day. Actually, that kind of fits my routine now but my wife gets on me for eating after normal dinner hours (5-7:00). I can do without breakfast and usually eat lunch around 1:00 anyway. Then in summer since is lighter out, 9:00 doesn't seem too late for me as can usually find something to do and I really don't like taking a dinner break around 6:00 as might not be able to get back to a project. In addition, now we have boy's baseball games so often times don't get home until 8:30 anyway.

The big thing for me is cutting my alcohol intake. I will always work out and eat relatively crappy, but I lose weight whenever I cut the alcohol. I've also shifted to drinking less beer and more "Tito's + Soda" or "Jack + water". Makes a big difference.

Yea, that beer is just a freakin' gut in a can, man. Weight and health wise, nothing good about it.

The only thing that is killing your progress, unfortunately, is the empty calories in that beer. Same problem with me. I know if I cut that down, I'd drop 20lbs in a matter of several weeks. It's like a fuel to the gut, If you let it go empty and not fill it, that weight comes off fast. Hard to stop that vice, though.

I think you are on the right track with everything else you are doing, though. Well besides the heaters.
Even when I didn't drink (back when I did P90x) it was the same result (fat just turns to muscle) but yeah, drinking definitely makes it harder. Hell I've drank and ate whatever I wanted for the last 15 years and have always been around 220. Got up to 230 once and down to 214 another time but generally stay right at the same.

How tall are you?

Well done sir. Way for you and your wife to take it seriously and stay focused. One question. Help me out here. What exactly are "clean" carbs or meats? White meat such as pork, chicken and fish?

Clean carbs are brown rice, brown rice noodles, low sugar carbs. Veggies, some select fruits. I’m not super strict NO SUGARS, the body needs some. I think one of the best things we do is we hardly buy anything in a box.
Clean meats are mostly white meats, chicken, turkey, white fish. Some people get upset/confused because we don’t eat much pork or beef (I make a mean flank steak on the Traeger) but it’s just less fat, which for us, trying to lose fat means eating less fat.
There’s some strong research for keto dieting, including some higher fat intake and cleaner carbs. I’m not opposed to that, and if it works for someone, gosh that’s great. We just found a plan we could stick to and have, so far.

I firmly believe there are a million plans that work, as long as it involves less calorie intake and building some muscle and getting your heart rate up. But... as the 76’ers say, “Trust the Process.” And stick to it. I didn’t get to 244 overnight, and I didn’t lose it overnight. It takes time, preparation, and a shitload of sweat and body aches.

Don’t get me totally wrong. We have cheat or “treat” meals as we call them, twice a month. Man, I love pizza, wings, ribs, ice cream, burgers (although since I’ve eaten a million turkey burgers now I have a hard time with ground beef...

Oh, and I also drink a lot of water. At least a gallon everyday. Helps make poop when there’s not as many calories. But damn I piss a lot.

I could talk about this all day. I was such a piece of shit until I hit 40. I heard someone say the first 40 are free, the second 40 are earned. I figure I have to earn it x’s 2. I mean, I ate fast food all the time, drank Mountain Dew, just all the crap. Partied HARD until about 25. Hard. Bad drugs, booze, all of it. So I have some serious pride in this transformation. I know timing is everything, and if I ran into this at 30 it wouldn’t have been the right time. But still, I wish I would have found it sooner. Thanks for reading fellas.

As I understand it.....sugar is the most toxic of the foods we eat. Not so much fat but sugar. Add stress to that and you have a killer.

I do liquid diet about once a week for a day or two. I get hungry. But that hunger is nothing compared to the cravings that come after ingested sugar/artificial sweeteners. Try it. Its eye opening.

Look at it this way: humans require protein & fat to survive. They do not require carbohydrates to survive. Slim down your foreskin with shark tank keto!

I'm not big on sweets, never eat birthday cake, haven't had pop in 4 months (only drank diet prior). I'd rather have another burger or hotdog than ice cream, cake or candy. If I eat something sugary I feel like I've been gut-punched, like eating McDonald's after a long hiatus.

Turkey bacon is the bomb. Just had it last night on the BLT's. Also, it seems to cook up a heck of a lot better/easier than pork bacon. I really do like the taste. I think Jeno makes it.

In all sincerity, you've done a great job. Impressed with how focused you are and making it your life's routine. More with how you changed your mind frame and overcame the temptations. It is not as easy as you make it sound. Well done.
