Anyone else heading to the Well today to watch Woodrow?

The other game today was the classic. After half time West turned it on and Linn Mar had no answer. Pretty boring 2nd half. Tomorrow night will be interesting. West didn't have much of a crowd there.

Agree. Should be a very interesting game tomorrow night. Coach Bergman will definitely try and play up tempo and wear down East. I'm not sure how his man to man defense approach will work against Woodbury. Would imagine double team help when the ball goes inside to Woodbury.

I watched the East/Ankeny game on TV today and it was an exciting one even though both teams missed numerous free throws and shots in the OT sessions.

He's going to have to try something because I don't see how anyone that I saw on West stays with Woodbury in a straight man. He just too big and he's a bully. I thought Ankeny would shoot East out of that zone but they never did. West will have to be hitting the 3's to win imo. East also likes to push the ball and play up tempo so maybe it will be a track meet.

Woodbury vs. Friedman in the post. Two D-1 players, hopefully 1on1.

I went to the game Wednesday and agree with those that thought Woodbury had an average game but he was triple teamed much of the time. I've seen Friedman in person this year as well and he dominated. He's very physical.

Woodbury and Friedman really went at it today. They were beating the tar out of each other in the paint. Woodbury was clearly the better player IMO. He got to play with 1 and sometimes 2 guys on him rather than 3 and looked much better than Wednesday. I really liked that he played through the physical stuff since the Big Ten is so physical.

Woodbury will help us next year. I'm not going to predict how much but he will help us. Like most true post players he should make a substantial jump from his freshman to sophomore year...especially with the solid coaches at Iowa.
