Did anyone see the Saban interview on 60 minutes? He basically stated that he surrounds himself with winners and perfectionists and has zero time for people who just want to skate by. Look at all the high profile assistants he has hired even after being successful.
Who was the great hire in the KF era that makes you warm and fuzzy? He was lucky with finding a guy like NP that never wanted to be a head coach. I believe he is a control freak and ego maniac that can't handle new ideas and people who might take the spotlight off him.
I know I'm considered a bad fan for bashing Ferentz but I really have no idea how any one can defend him since 2005. If the fans wouldn't have went nuts then I truly believe that JC would have still been QB in 2009.
You're right, but it would be a much easier way to make your voice heard. 5 or 6 callers getting through get news stories written. How many thousands of people will have to stop going to games before they take notice? I'm not talking about trying to be nasty or anything, just finding creative ways to voice your displeasure.
I just think it's funny that there are hundreds of posts on here talking about Ferentz but when you're given a toll free number to talk to him nobody has the balls.

Nope. That was Ken O'Keefe what brought you Ricky StanziHis original staff had Bielema on it, IIRC, and he took Wisky to 3 straight Rose Bowls. It also had Joe Philbin on it who is now an NFL head coach.
And yeah, KF made the QB change in 2008 because of fans opinions.
Of coursee it was also KOK who decided to run a Naked Bootleg in our own End Zone right into an All-American Defensive EndNope. That was Ken O'Keefe what brought you Ricky Stanzi
For those who missed the radio show (that includes me), this is pretty good stuff by Morehouse:

I think Bielema brought in Brad Banks, Fred Barr, CJ Jones, Colin Cole, Abdul Hodge, Mo Brown. There's more, but that's off the top of my head.
Not trying to be a jerk but I believe most of KFs success was due to BBs recruiting. He should have been promoted to OC and possibly HC in waiting but again KF knows best that KOK was the reason that Iowa was # 8 three years in a row. You will never be able to convince me that KF wanted to give RS a shot. He basically ****** the Pitt game away to give JC every chance to win the job.
BB doesn't count because he is more Iowa than KF will ever be and would probably coach at Iowa for next to nothing but wanted a chance to prove himself. A chance he would have never gotten at Iowa under KF.
I believe KF deserves all the credit for getting Iowa as close as we have seen to the 50s to become an elite program. He has been a good steward for the program and should be on the Iowa MT. Rushmore but he will never take them to the elite program status. Since 2005 his winning percentage is terrible and has more inexcusable big losses than good wins.
I love the Hawks and hope the win every game from here on out but that would just get KF a 10 year extension and a raise. It wouldn't help with the glaring issues that KF and his staff have.
I plan on calling in and asking him how an offense that returns it's QB, 4 of 5 OL, 3 of 4 TEs, and all it's RBs and WRs can struggle so much to execute, since that's what it apparently is according to his press conference yesterday. "Execution" is a valid reason if it's 1999-2000 (new system, rotating QBs, etc) 2004 (breaking in Drew Tate as a starting QB), 2008 (splitting reps btw Stanzi & JC) or 2012 (new offensive system). But Year 16 in his tenure, with as much returning offensive players as we've possibly ever had with maybe the exception of 2002, and with a now established OC and offensive staff, "execution" should NEVER be an excuse unless the players aren't bought in or the coaches aren't doing their job. Because it isn't like there are a plethora of injuries at key positions.

Stopped reading when you said BB doesn't count.
The cherry picked criteria people use to judge KF just baffles me. Don't say he never made a great hire and then say one doesn't count after I named two that took me about 3 seconds to think of.
Again, not calling out your man hood but please name the great coaches that have zero ties to Iowa that he has brought in the last 16 years. If two is your answer then that is just plain sad and you have a disposition that I could only dream of. BB shouldn't count due to the fact that he would have joined the Iowa staff if I was coaching.
Fight on young man and remember just because people don't agree with you doesn't mean they aren't a fan like you.
1- Norm
2- Bielema
3- Philbin
They all count and they are all great coaches.
I never said you aren't a fan, I just stopped reading your other post when you stopped making sense.
