Anybody calling in Wednesday night?

I plan on calling in and asking him how an offense that returns it's QB, 4 of 5 OL, 3 of 4 TEs, and all it's RBs and WRs can struggle so much to execute, since that's what it apparently is according to his press conference yesterday. "Execution" is a valid reason if it's 1999-2000 (new system, rotating QBs, etc) 2004 (breaking in Drew Tate as a starting QB), 2008 (splitting reps btw Stanzi & JC) or 2012 (new offensive system). But Year 16 in his tenure, with as much returning offensive players as we've possibly ever had with maybe the exception of 2002, and with a now established OC and offensive staff, "execution" should NEVER be an excuse unless the players aren't bought in or the coaches aren't doing their job. Because it isn't like there are a plethora of injuries at key positions.

I have hardly ever listened to a KF presser or radio call in show because it is not entertaining, news worthy or have much substance.

Now Hayden, Ralph Miller, Lute and Mr. Davis, that was a different story, they were very good to listen to.

truth.

Ive gotten to the screener but I've never made it on air. Curiously, a familiar cast of habitual pole strokers always seem to make it on. Funny how that works.

Rookie-

You got to know how the game is played. When the screener asks what you want to ask the coach about you lie your *** off and say you want to know what KF thinks about heading back to Pittsburgh to play around where he grew up, How the 4th string walk on long snapper is doing in practice, etc.

Then when they put you on the air with your softball question you ask him the real question you want answered-

"Coach with GD coaching the Iowa O you are currently ranked 111th, 76th last year and 111th the year before that in scoring offense, you mentioned in your press conference yesterday that it was just guys needing to execute better, do you really think it could be that after 2+ years or do you think that you maybe made the wrong hire when you brought GD on, thanks I'll hang up and listen to your response, oh and go hawks!"

That's how it's done.

Coach, is it fair to expect guys to execute when they aren't even on the field? Thanks coach, I'll hang up and listen. GO HOX!

Note to the board: I have three little kids and Ferentz is on during bath and putting to bed time so I'm gonna call in but I'm not gonna hang around on hold for 30 minutes. I'll make the effort but I've got limits.

This is accurate.

I've listened to about 20 minutes of a KF call in show this year and it was the same old crap. It's bad radio. The @$$ kissing is pathetically hilarious. But that's about it.

I have nothing personal against Ferentz. I'd just like a little accountability. Same way I feel about Roger Goodell. It's not personal animosity. It's professional accountability.

All hugs and kisses so far. Everybody is doing a bang up job and we're still going to win the rest. Ferentz even a bit more smug than usual tonight.

I'm on hold. My wife is pi$$3d she wants kids in bed. If you hear somebody talking about ferraris burnin rubber it's me.

Its a pattern with him - the more he soils the sheets the more smug he becomes.

BTW, the very first words out of his mouth was there won't be any change at QB, so that puts that controversy at rest.

Congrats, you have me listening to this non program for the first time in years just to hear you pin him down.

The problem is execution. Success requires consistent execution. So the problem seems to be the players, not the coaches. Lets clean that up.
