Seems to be a lot of strong opinions regarding Ferentz..me included.

Just wondering if anyone is going to leave the anonymity of the interwebs and ask him questions yourself?

ya, first time caller, long time listener, love your show, i got 2 questions and a comment, and I'll hang up and listen.......

More Kirk-speak...no substance...tired of listening...going to take my wife out to dinner instead.

Probably the smart thing, it's WHO so I know they have screeners and most important a delay and dump button. Anything said would have to disguised as a legit question. But creative people could get some good stuff on the air.

after 30 minute wait...

We got dave on the phone from Ottumua, dave go ahead

hello? hello?

Dave, go ahead you're on the air with coach

hello?

Dave do you have a question

Oh Hi !

Go ahead dave

Auhh, hey coach how are ya doing........

Even if you were allowed to ask your question, Kirk wouldn't answer it with anything meaningful as far as fans are concerned. Fans want to hear something promising that change is coming or that he will provide real insight. But no you will get a "Well, we are gonna practice hard and do our best". To a fan who is disappointed in the offense for the past 3 weeks wants to hear something. Kirk is so vague I can't stand to listen, let alone call in and hear directly from him.

Kirk, in 16 years have you ever considered going away from the prevent offense? Just wondering. 16 years of not executing is a long time.

You're right, but it would be a much easier way to make your voice heard. 5 or 6 callers getting through get news stories written. How many thousands of people will have to stop going to games before they take notice? I'm not talking about trying to be nasty or anything, just finding creative ways to voice your displeasure.

I just think it's funny that there are hundreds of posts on here talking about Ferentz but when you're given a toll free number to talk to him nobody has the balls.

Ha, yes this pretty much nails it...and also explains why I haven't listened to a call in show for 10+ years.

My other favorite waste of radio waves is "Jim from West Bumf**k" calling to ask how Jimmy Jones (5'8" white kid, walk on from West Bumf**k High, listed at 8th string cb/4th string ls) has been looking.

at the end of the day, why should anyone be surprised by any of this.

even if he did give a little more info, some would disagree with his answer and it would make some people's head explode....more questions...more heads blowing up.

He's wise to say little, go to work and do much.

But I don't expect a much different product on Saturday at Pitt. And acceptance is the key to serenity folx.

truth.

Ive gotten to the screener but I've never made it on air. Curiously, a familiar cast of habitual pole strokers always seem to make it on. Funny how that works.

I'm going to ask him 1) to explain why they recruited the speed to stretch the field and then run plays that don't use it; and 2) is that the system or is the starting QB incapable of making that throw? And if he is capable, why isn't he doing it?

Now you'll know if I got through.

Every time I've called, I've gotten on.... They like it when people call from out of state. When I lived in Texas, they used to put me on. Didn't say much and it wasn't memorable.

That is a HawkTalk classic.

My favorite is when "Gene from Oskaloosa" calls in then proceeds to ask Dolph if he remembers when they once met at the Country Kitchen in Shueyville back in 1983.

Phone lines may be busy. Sounds like Vintage, Scorpio, Chucklehut and Torguehager are also calling in.

Show runs from 7:00 - 8:30,

Kirk doesn't even show until after 7:30

Bet he's not there until quarter of or later, tonight.
