I fell out of place defending Eddie but...

Did any of you see the PU player touch the ball while laying on out of bounds line?? That is what I saw on replay and I think that is what Eddie told the fellow ref. The Minn player did touch ball before ball went out but PU player touching it happened first.

Also, the overruled ref did call double dribble on Minn on next posession so he was hardly "out of it" for remainder of game. Maybe he felt he was doing a makeup call, for all I know.

I was watching for the player sliding OOB to touch it after any part of his body was OOB, and I don't think he dod. He certainly touched it before he slid OOB. The thing is, the ref who made the first call was still in better position to see what both players did than was Hightower. He was right on it.

But....don't you realize Ed is one of the best referees in the game? That is what the announcers are always saying.

Sometimes "best ever" and "been around a LONG time" get mixed up.
