An example of good basketball uniforms

An example or a grown man wearing underwear while playing a sport. I'll be more than happy if I never see that much of a mans leg again.

I never really liked the cursive "Iowa" at all. The idea was fine, but the execution was poor. The letters are far too deliberate, like the cursive letters you see over a chalkboard in the second grade. Plus, only grandmothers still use the cursive capital I.

"...I'll be more than happy if I never see that much of a mans leg again."

Today they wax their entire body to get that "little boy" look...

I personally liked the late-80's look with the block-style letters, like in the 1987 jerseys. The shorts that year were awful though, short with the line across them that gave the "untucked-jersey" look. I'm just talking about the top half of the jerseys. Example below.

I can't stand most of the stuff that Nike is designing these days, especially those silver patches alot of teams have on their shoulders. I've seen teams like Syracuse, OSU, Illinois, etc. have them at some point in the past few years. Blech.

The thing I liked most about some of the past Hawkeye jerseys is the simplicity, as compared to the current Nike stuff. Sometimes less is more...

Best Unis Ever.

S-cript Iowa wins every time.

Yep. The ****** Iowa was the best, with the 86-87s being a solid 2nd place. Just get rid of the stupid Impact-ish italicized font. I HATE that. Or I guess I should say, I HATE THAT.

And while you're at it, bring back the gold/yellow lanes & out of bounds - the black looks... well, not as good. And same with the font there too - lose that ugly-*** [REDACTED]-era font.

WTF? Why was the word "******" asterisked? Is that a new swear word I don't know about? That's really scriptin' stupid.

Again, showing my age here, but does anyone remember the old Marquette jerseys back in the day that were untucked by design? See below. I remember thinking they were cool then, but not sure now. Oh, and sorry for the short shorts in the pic as well.

LOL.. Yeah, the impact font isn't as cool IMO. I also like it better with the team name arched rather than the letters straight across the front of the jersey.

Alot of people like the black court, but I agree with you, actually. I preferred the yellow court. Ditto for Purdue's court - I actually liked the gold paint they had back in the day instead of the black that they have now.

The tigerhawk logo is cool of course, but I think I almost preferred the giant Herky we had on the floor back in the 80s'.

OP....great uni. I don't really care for the knee length baggy look of today.

Heck....bring back the belts on the pants!

Agreed, Troy.

I have always liked those unis. I believe they are the same ones Kenny Arnold had all four years, but am not 100% sure they had those his freshman year when we went to the Final Four.
