I didn't know Kirk salary was pegged to game attendance/football revenue? Here I thought college football head coach compensation was pegged to wins and losses. I'd coach at Iowa for 90k a year, by your logic we'd have about 1,100 people show up to the games. You fail at life.

Along with winning games, a college coach is judged on the number of his players that graduate, the amount of money the football program produces, the character of his players off the field, community work, etc.
Name me one job where a person is evaluated on one thing and one thing only.
