AJ Derby Gone

Iowa State wouldn't be a bad fit, imo, and Rhodes is a good coach. The early attrition of players continues. Does it ever impact Iowa's APR so that scholarships are lost?

None of you may EVER doubt my mastery of the universe again.

You'll have to skip to the :35 second mark...but you get the point. :D :D

2010 recruiting class looking less and less stellar....

Yeah.. J-Morris, Kirksey, Lowery, Hitchens, KMM, Tanner Miller, Scherff, CJF.... not like there isn't still some pretty impressive talent there. Davis, Poggi and company could still pan out to be standouts too. Miss on some, score with others.

What are you talking about? Coker gave us two good years

Probably starters from that class this year: Morris, Kirksey, KMM, Lowery, Miller, Scherff, CJF.

Then you have guys like Carl Davis, Trinca-Pasat, Mike Hardy on the DL who could see a lot of playing time. Donnal will probably be in the mix on the o-line. Hitchens will see minutes at linebacker as well.

That sounds pretty reasonable for a class where they are only going to be sophomores or juniors next year.

First off I wish he wasn't leaving and think he had a lot of potential to be a good player.

That said, if he can't see the coaches success moving Clark, McNutt, Sash, etc. to other positions that gave the team the best chance to win and their best shot at playing in the NFL than so be it.

He wasn't forced to move to LB, if he thought he was good enough or could do the work needed to play at QB than he should have told the coaches thanks but no thanks.

Hopefully it turns out well for both he and Iowa.

agreed 100%. Obviously we don't know for sure this is the issue, but if he truly wants to play quarterback and believes he can be an NFL quarterback, this is the right decision for him.

He wants to Tebow somewhere. Meyer offered him at Florida. Hope he gets the opportunity to do that somewhere we won't have to play him.
