Your trolling game is terrible. Just weak as hell.
We want more of your congratulatory, I heart Ferentz threads.
I felt so uplifted and calm after reading them.

He's not my son. I don't have to root for him. He quit. He's no longer a Hawk. Plain and simple. I no longer care about his success or failure. Its not personal, its business. If he falls flat on his face or if he's all-american, he no longer matters to me. I wished him a see you later, why dont you do the same and move on? You cant make someone appreciate him quitting on the Hawks, regardless of the reason. America!Have you made any of your life decisions based on what other people want? Those that are complete strangers to you? What neighborhood you live in? Job, house, car, clothes etc? These younger adults if that phrase appeases you are under NO obligation to make their life decisions about where they attend school based on what makes you or any other fan happy... I can only imagine what your two cents would be on this same issue if Wagner was your son...
I quit after 6th grade. You think I'm afraid of admitting that?
At least I like the Hawks. What's your excuse? I haven't seen many cheers out of you. Your name has Fry in it. Its obvious what your place on the mental health spectrum is....Your trolling game is terrible. Just weak as hell.

I get a little pissed when someone gives up. I don't care the reason unless its health or abuse. Is it his right to quit, absolutely. Absolutely. I don't have to wish him well or even like him. He was probably the best available to us at that point in recruiting. It didn't work out. He decides to transfer to Kentucky. The Iowa staff apparantly reached out to him. He rejected us for X reason. It doesn't matter. I root for the Hawkeyes, not this player. I can appreciate players and enjoy watching them but they are gone in 4-5 yrs. Its the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back. Wagner chose to change his name on the front of his jersey. He is no longer relevant to me regardless of the reason. That's all you need to understand. I didn't root for Barry Bonds, Bobby Bonilla or Andrew Mccutchen now that they aren't Pirates. James Harrison, dead to me. Rod Woodson, that one was rough, but i see him as a Raven. Kirk Ferentz goes to Penn State, he's irrelevant to me. This is me. You be you.Dean?
Seriously though, what's the point in dissing a young guy who came to Iowa with hopes and things didn't work out. That is a common theme for Iowa Basketball. Iowa football does leave a lot left on the field though.
Would you stay at a job where you weren't being used and the boss was bringing in his some to "run" things and be the "qb" of the team?
I will never understand though why a number of Iowa players seem to regress over time.
Possible explanations?
1. There were really good players who left and made everyone look better.
2. Bad attitudes (common theme here and a weakness in recruiting?)
3. Injuries
4. Lack of coaching fundamentals (seen this up close on HS teams).
5. Emotionally weak
6. Emotionally damaged by a coach with emotional issues.
Probably a combo, but most point directly at the coach.
I'm big boned.You were a 16 yo in 6th grade? I'd quit too.
I'm sure they're just heartbroken over that.Wagner chose to change his name on the front of his jersey. He is no longer relevant to me regardless of the reason. That's all you need to understand. I watched a few snaps of their game on TV and never saw him out there. I think he's got 2 yrs to play so I don't think he'll be red shirted to play 2 more after that would he?Checked the Kentucky team site to see how AW was doing. He's played in three games but has not recorded a statistic. I guess this is like a redshirt year for him and at least he's getting a chance to get on the field.
