Added ISU Thread

Saw about half of the isu game on tv. my opinion of isu is their defense won't be as bad as expected but, by the same token, their offense won't be nearly as good as most cyclone fans would like to believe. Also, no way they run AA that many times against iowa or any other b12 opponent. He just won't hold up for a season taking hits from legit d1 defensive players. And without all of the qb draws, they do very little offensively last night.

you have no idea what you're talking about. Arnaud ran for almost 600 yards last year (only a few hundred less than Iowa's leading rusher). I'm guessing he didn't rack all those yards up against NDSU, Kent State, and Army. Arnaud runs and he runs a lot, it's part of the offense and it doesn't matter who the opponent is. the spread they run depends on the mobility of the quarterback.

"they'll be afraid to run because we're so big and scary..."

keep flattering yourself.

i hope Iowa wins by 70 tomorrow. keep boosting that already inflated ego, it will only be that much more painful when you get hit in the mouth.

And at the end of next Saturday, after a good beating, it will be 6 out of the last 8 Crabs... 6 out of the last 8.

I about lost it when an IOWA FAN started that dumb cheer near the section I was sitting in a few years back. We took there goal posts, which was awesome. Leave their stupid cheers back in Kinnick North.

few hundred less than a freshman rb.

yea, but a running back none the less. The offense is what it is and won't drastically change because of who the opponent is.

Arnaud will easily have 10+ rushes against the hawks, without a doubt. some probably from scrambling, but they aren't going to not call his number to "protect him" or whatever thesouth was suggesting

the guy that just got a 10 year extension at Iowa still has a losing record against ISU newmex... Against ISU!

Hmm...he must do something with the rest of the season after those losses...weird...what did the Clones do with the rest of the season after their wins?

Freshman second string rb, and the third string rb, also a freshman got over 600 yards.

You have to remember who NIU plays against. I'm not sold on AA. I think he struggles against Iowa, w/ Clayborn & company up in his grill ALL day. Seriously, AC is dominant and will demand double-teams to ensure AA is not running for his life. That leaves the opportunity for the rest of the DL to have a big day. I definitely don't see Robinson having near the day against us that he did yesterday. He's really not that explosive, and we all know hard it is to run on Iowa.

I think if we can stuff their running game, and AA is into 3rd and long situations, he might make some big mistakes. :)

I don't think Iowa needs to stuff the running game for Arnaud to make mistakes. Granted, I do think the focus will be on stopping Robinson and making Austen win the game with his arm.

As long as Iowa can stop the run with minimal help from the secondary....it could be a long day for the Cyclones.

Franklin looks like more of a legit threat than any ISU TE in recent memory. He was impressive Thursday night; a big target with sure, soft hands and a mean streak. Tarp will have his work cut out.

The clown secondary got burned on quite a few plays. THere were at least 3 instances where the NIU wideout had the post and real estate. Their inept QB overthrew on all 3 instances. ALL 3 were easy TDs.

Also it was clear that the CLOWN oline was getting tired late in the 3rd and 4th.

I am going to say that NIU wold have won if they would have had a QB. He was horrible....JUST HORRIBLE>
