For those that think sitting on their couch in the AC watching on HD compares to what went on inside the actual stadium Saturday night you are sorely mistaken. Loudest game for the complete game that I have seen in a long long time.

There was 0 noticeable difference with it not being a sellout.

Saying watching on your couch is better than being there in person is just an opinion. Some people don't care about the energy and excitement of being there in person. I do care about that, and love being with friends and family to take it all in from the tailgating to the actual game.

And it does impact the game when it is that loud in there. Multiple times in fact PSU had issues with the noise. Timeouts and penalties because of it. Of course that made it get louder yet.

Lol getting a bit personal there eh Melrose? Two season tix is just right for me in my current situation!

Yea, sorry. Yep, handling two not bad.

But my point is for those who are just single or with a wife or sig other, don't set the price as $95 for a night out, set it more like $550 a game or at least that game. I ask you to truthfully answer. If you had to write a check for $550 just to watch the Penn St game, would you have? That would have been pretty much the bare minimum to take a family of 4 to one game (at least a nice Big Boy game).

I don't think anybody ONCE said it is the same. At least not me. the notion that if people don't go to Kinnick to watch the game aren't real fans or "are not the people the university is marketing to ...". is utter BS. I've done season tix in the past and attended many games. Hell, I'm a U employee (24 yrs) and can get discounted tickets. I know the atmosphere.

Let any post I make regarding attending be qualified that I completely understand if one cannot afford to attend. Family needs come first with the money. I completely understand that. Was more toward those that could but are married to their basements and HD tvs and dorm frig. It's not the same and never will be the same.
