9-9 in conf for Iowa "virtual lock"

Name the 5 teams that get in. What a joke.

ESPN had the Big XII as the 7th rated conference yesterday. The 7th rated conference aint gettin 5 teams in, pal.

Kansas, Kansas St., ISU, Baylor, OSU.

See that wasn't that hard, the bubble isn't as full as it used to be. They won't be high seeds outside of KU and maybe one other but they will most likely get five in. All teams have to do is avoid losing to TT and TCU and get 11 wins in conference and conference tournament combined.

The 7th rated conference factors in how absolutely terrible the bottom of the conference is which brings it down.

LOL @ Baylor and OSU.

Something to consider, as well...

A team like Minnesota - they already have TEN (10) WINS over Top 100 RPI teams. Most in college basketball.

A team like New Mexico has only PLAYED ONE (1) Top 100 RPI team.

By comparison, Iowa has played 9 Top 100 RPI teams and has won 4 of them.

Is that right? They've played 7 Ken-Pom top 100 teams and beat 6 of them. Only one of St. Louis, UNLV, UConn and Cincy is in the RPI top 100?

I'm not sure there are any teams in the country that have only played one top 100 team. The cream puffs schedule for their pay checks.

I think 5 of ou, osu, ksu, ku, bu and Isu make it. I think the one that gets left out is Iowa State (not enough good wins) or bu (too many bad losses)

11 wins in conference and conference tournament combined, while not losing to TT or TCU either time, gets any of those six teams in.

i dont see how we finish ahead of bucky without several huge surprises. they are tough at home.

Their best home win was against Illinois.
They barely beat PSU in the Kohl Center and lost to both Virginia and Mich State at home.
Iowa is 10-2 at home this year. Wisconsin is 10-2 at home this year.

Bo's teams used to be unbeatable at home, but so did Iowa inside Kinnick Stadium.

I meant to say PLAYED ONE (1) 200+ RPI team. Botched that one badly. Thanks for bringing that up.
I was trying to show that New Mexico didn't play any bottom feeders. They only had one team higher than 200+ in the RPI (Portland, and they are almost breaking into the Top 200).

Sorry, that was super confusing by me. I was trying to give two examples of what other teams are doing to build their resume/RPI vs. Iowa. Did not proof, it's been corrected.
