That looks about right. I also think Shannon might get a look too. Moss is the one I'm not sure about. If he gets drafted, he won't be a high draft pick. He's very good in press man coverage and is a great tackler. His zone coverage is not always the best, which may hurt him. He's got good size and smarts so I wouldn't be shocked to see him as high as 5th round, but I'm not really sure how different players translate to the pros. Here’s mine…
Sam LaPorta, early rounds, active roster.
Jack Campbell, early rounds, active roster.
Riley Moss, UDFA, practice squad.
Kaevon Merriweather, UDFA, practice squad.
Seth Benson, UDFA, practice squad.
If he gets signed at all it’ll be as a safety, and I don’t know if he has the size for that. He’s on the smaller size of most starters. That looks about right. No way does Moss make it at corner in the NFL. But he could have a Sean Considine type career as Safety/Nickel/Special Teams. If he gets signed at all it’ll be as a safety, and I don’t know if he has the size for that. He’s on the smaller size of most starters.
Hasn’t been a white CB with any real playing time at the spot since Christ was a cowboy and he’s not the physical beast that Troy Apke was. We won’t get into a discussion on the football board about why, but it blows my mind that any white kid with NFL aspirations would choose to play CB.
Campbell, in the right defense, could be a Ted Hendricks, JJ Watt type terror. Here’s mine…

I was going to bring up the fact that there isn't a recent history of white CBs, but hopefully that won't make a difference. The fact that he's not the best in zone may hurt his chances of getting much of a look at safety. Given that, and what you said about his size will hurt him. His man coverage and tackling will, at the very least, get him into a camp. Being 6'1" and physical will get him drafted IMO.If he gets signed at all it’ll be as a safety, and I don’t know if he has the size for that. He’s on the smaller size of most starters.

DeJean has the body to play linebacker or safety.Moss will stick. Dejean will be there.

He'll have to beef up some for LB. I think he's like 205 lbs or so currently. He's a thick athletic 205 but it's asking a lot for him to put on 20-25 more LBs and maintain his speed and athleticism.DeJean has the body to play linebacker or safety.
Joe Evans is going to have the same problem as Mitch King only worse. He's 6-2, 246#. NFL tackles would eat him for breakfast. No chance. What about Joe Evans? I don't think he gets drafted but he seems like the classic Iowa player that finds a way to make a team, maybe a practice squad guy. And maybe he gets tried in a couple positions.
DeJean would fit in the Troy Polamalu mold. He could easily be flying around like that making open field tackles. Whether NFL GMs would take a chance is a whole 'nother deal.Dejean will be drafted to do something. Too good an athlete. But, we have him for 1 more year. He needs to talk to the coaches about what position he can play at the next level and park his wagon at that spot next year. Right now, he is a swiss army knife.
I agree on both fronts.DeJean would fit in the Troy Polamalu mold. He could easily be flying around like that making open field tackles. Whether NFL GMs would take a chance is a whole 'nother deal.
Riley Moss as great as he is as a Hawkeye, is a college player. He's not even close to athletic enough to play in the NFL. CB is out, obviously, and he's not built enough to play safety.
Can he play TE like Parker Hesse?? Hesse and Matt Nelsons stories about flipping sides of the LOS to hang around the NFL 5 plus yrs is incredible. Hesse is playing more now then he had his whole career prior to this yr with ATL.Joe Evans is going to have the same problem as Mitch King only worse. He's 6-2, 246#. NFL tackles would eat him for breakfast. No chance.
