200 yard rusher

How is it even possible to have a 200 yard rusher who completely dominates the game like Coker last year against Minn and today and not win?

How is this even possible without a rash of turnovers. Our oline dominated in a way that rarely happens and we lose???

We have such terrible in game strategy that it is embarrassing.
 
It just goes to show how little the running game means in football these days. Its all about the QB and front 7 on D. Look no further than the last 2 SuperBowl champs. GB had the worst yards/rush ave in the NFL in 2010. NYG had the worst yards/rush ave in 2011. The both had great QBs and front 7s.
 
Weisman did have a fumble that lead to points but a 200 yard rusher usually meant a W but with KF at the helm anything is possible. The penalties, lack of leadership, lack of emotion all come back to KF and his laid back personality. He has the money in the bank and can go work as an OL coach in the NFL when this gig is up. Biggest question is will KF let Iowa out of that contract or hold em to it.

That is the NFL where the no contact after 5 yards greatly changes the effectiveness of the pass game. In the college game you need to be more effective with the running game in general. However, Iowa doesn't take advantage of the contact rule at all as we are playing back so much.
 
The game has adapted. Unfortunately were built to attack in an obsolete method. Were also built to defend what is obsolete.
 
This is the worst Iowa passing attack I have seen in my 33 years of being alive. That is why a 200 yr rusher results in a loss.

NW 2005...eery similarities.

Waste 200 yard effort, onside kick, personal foul penalty, 2 scores really late...except this one was at home...to a MAC oppot.
 
^ BOOM. This is the problem. Dude has not really done anything well yet this year. If he played even somewhat well this team would be 4-0
