    Beau Corrales gone

Per scout...This moves Iowa's commit total back down to 14. They've lost four commitments this cycle: defensive tackle Juan Harris from the Midwest, and Texans Eno Benjamin, Chevin Calloway, and Beau Corrales.

    Beau Corrales gone

Not sure. Maybe he had a solid SR year and is getting more attention. In his twitter post, he mentioned Iowa as being the first D1 school to commit.

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

If Eno goes to Wisconsin I will throw up.

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

That's a really good point. What would Wisconsin do with Riley M? What would WI do with Iowa's roster on Offense?

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

Sure, I get that. I was thinking about all over the field. Definitely seems to be more speed out there on the WI side of the ball.

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

Are they faster and bigger? The articles I read year after year state that Wisconsin and Iowa are similar programs and recruit similar players and are pretty similar in team rankings according to scout and rivals. So if they are faster and bigger, are they better at developing players? Are they...

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

Exactly. I do agree with this. I think it was evident from the first 3 plays. Run right, run left, pass short of the chains and punt. Why not come out with the first series scripted. A little aggressive, hurry up offense that says I believe in you guys! Come on Kirk! QUOTE="WinOneThisCentury...

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

Haha. Yeah, I get it. I never miss a chance to tell Wisconsin fans they owe their success to Hayden's assistants.

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

Thank you for the response. That make sense to me. I suppose Iowa doesn't have the speed to run some of what Wisconsin does. Iowa just seems so predictable and limited in the plays they call. That's the biggest difference I notice when watching the 2 teams play. To me it seemed like Wisconsin...

    We ARE NOT Wisconsin

I cringe every time I hear the argument. All the articles and forum posts I read this week were about how we are similar programs that play similar styles. It's getting really old and no longer true (probably since 2010). All you have to do is watch the 2 teams play. Look at the badgers...

Well, that makes sense. I didn't know.

    Lololololol

Rudely interrupted by an alert but then takes the time to start a thread. I don't understand why Iowa fans bash on Iowa. I'm an Iowa fan that lives in Wisconsin and have to hear it all the time from Badgers...but it's crazy to see how many Iowa fans bash the Hawks.

    OT: Hawkeyenation.com on Iphone

I don't mind the ads popping up on my phone, but my Mac BookPro processors kick into high gear when I'm on the home page. It's like I'm trying to use all my processing power to navigate the site. I'm sure it's not great for my mac but I do love the site so I have no choice.

Something is seriously wrong with this team....

After watching the interview with Uthoff after the game, I think you might be right. It's always hard to tell if they are sick or reporters, sick of losing, or if something is really wrong. He doesn't look happy.

    Dear Mike Gesell

What about the 2 sweet dunks today! I don't mind him driving to the hole because I would rather see him aggressive when Jok and Uthoff are off, but at the end of the half and game, you're right. I wish they would get it across half court and call a timeout or pass the ball around.
  18. B

Oh no! Uthoff asked about the confidence level of the team...

He answers, "I don't know." He looks upset in the interview. Said the ball ended up in "someone else's hands." He could have said Mike's name. He has been pretty edgy to reporters lately as well. Doesn't seem to be enjoying himself at all on the floor...can't remember the last time he smiled...

A little concerned about Fran's ability to draw a play

Nice write up. I know it's just my passion for the Hawks that makes me feel like it happens to us, and us only, and to us all the time. We have to be way at the top as far as teams losing close games (in the last 5-6 years). I also watch my fair share of Badger games because I'm from Wisconsin...

A little concerned about Fran's ability to draw a play

And while we're talking about Fran, how about not sitting players with fouls at the wrong time. I think Gesell should have stayed in the first half when he was hot. He was playing with passion, had 2 dunks and was confident. Did he end up fouling the rest of the game?
