    Former Players On Ferentz’s Impact

Entitled freaking pricks. Sad thing is we are generations down the line now having these kinds of individuals raising kids who will in turn, turn out the same or worse when raising their kids.

    Former Players On Ferentz’s Impact

They might not have had great QB play, but damn, they'd have a solid O-line & punting.

    Former Players On Ferentz’s Impact

Lol. Ironically in all this, Jacksonville is the one NFL team that coach Ferentz might have thought to jumping to coach in the NFL. I think the only serious rumors years ago.

    Who's Attending Games This Year?

Yep, that's the way to do it. I've got a TV in my garage as well but is just too messy at this point to host people. Too many projects going on that I start and don't finish. I really do need to get that cleaned up and the walls painted!

    Former Players On Ferentz’s Impact

I particularly thought the Spencer Petras story was rather interesting. I didn't realize he got hurt at Utah State than Ferentz invited him back to the Iowa Pro Day after. In addition had Iowa's sports medicine operate on him and Petras worked out at the Iowa facilities. Wow!

    Who's Attending Games This Year?

As stated above, I actually enjoy watching games on TV than going to the game. The actual act of watching, especially the big games with a national broadcast crew. I would enjoy the atmosphere at the game, though. I enjoy listening to the comments from the broadcasters, some better than others...

    Who's Attending Games This Year?

I live about 8 miles from Kinnick and don't care to get season tickets anymore. Done it in the past but just too old to put up with the hassle and lose 6 entire Saturdays. Just too convenient sitting in front of the big screen with the bathroom 30 ft away I guess.

    Iowa's Surprising Depth.

LB's is also my main concern.

    Iowa's Surprising Depth.

Agree. I also agree that there doesn't seem to be a superstar right now. I was going to clarify in my OP that I was thinking of the depth at the 3 positions at the same time or start of a season.

    Iowa's Surprising Depth.

I was thinking about Iowa's depth, in particular in the QB, RB & WR rooms. I would have to say this is the deepest Iowa has been at these three positions for some time. To state the obvious, this is such a good thing and advantage as it not only provides depth for potential injuries, it also...

So who's all nicked up so far?

Well, I had some R elbow bursitis that I was dealing with a week or so ago but seem to be better now. Thanks for asking.

    Higgins!!!

LB is such an instinctive position, and that he clearly has which can help make up for any physical deficiencies.

    That's the BRAKES!!! "F"ound "O"n "R"oad "D"ead

Rough. Correct about small towns. I grew up in town of 1,400. Often times when there is an accident or tragedy, both parties and families know each other and your feel for both families. That's the proverbial wrench in the whole situation living in a small town.

    That's the BRAKES!!! "F"ound "O"n "R"oad "D"ead

Yes, so dangerous going over 100 in vehicles, especially old cars that could have suspension issues like tie rods, control arms etc. People, especially young people don't think of that. What's really dangerous are the stupid kids/people going 125mph on a motorcycle on an interstate or highway...

...........and oh, the car my dad bought for my sister 5yrs older prior to getting the Pinto was a Chevy Vega. Now, I say he did a good job of fixing it up and painting it, but is was a huge POS to.

When I hear Ford Pinto, I immediately think of explosion. Weren't they known for exploding if getting hit in the back due to where the gas tank was located? True story, our dad bought a Ford Pinto for my older sister who was 2 yrs older. When I turned 16 that was what I drove until I quickly...

Iowa Should Run At Least One Flea Flicker Every Game - Here's Why?

I listed to the same podcast and it was interesting. Yes, there is always a backup play to call depending on what the defense shows.

Iowa Should Run At Least One Flea Flicker Every Game - Here's Why?

And the thing is that they had a great run of success with those plays, which was kind of unprecedented. Maybe it has been a roster situation not having quite the players to attempt them, dunno.
