Wow. Why in the world do we have trouble recruiting? Can't figure it out. One little 4-5 word comment on Facebook and message board fans decide you have to man up, make comments about your family, and decide you're a quitter. Fantastic.

I love Norm Parker. I really, really do. He should stay with the football team in whatever capacity suits him best. All of that said, I'd love to see us go outside of the program and find a guy with fire in his belly.

100% yes to this. I said it all last year about Stanzi and I've come to realize the same thing about Vandy. He plays flat, no fire. This kid had real talent and could be great. Get him back to why football is fun. Let him unleash. Let him make mistakes.

If we lose, it's going to be a really long weekend. We'll be in Western Iowa with my inlaws (some of whom are Huskers). I'm really hoping Vandy is on fire, the receivers have superglue on their hands and our defense has a fire in their belly. It's our only hope on the road.

Depends on which Iowa team shows up to play. From a rivarly perspective, I think the fans have more fire than the team. Many of them didn't grow up in Western Iowa having to listen to Nebraska fans. Most of them probably have no idea what this means to some fans. If Vandy and the receivers...

Well if it had been happening for years and years, he probably had this guy in a mental headlock. I'm sure he did as much damage to him mentally as he did physically which might explain why the abuse happened into his late 20s.
