Take a look at the following link. KF is one of the most highly paid coaches in the nation, yet we pay the least to our assistant coaches. These positions are the life blood of a college football program and keep the machine going year in and year out. Do Les Miles and Nick Saban really make all that much difference on a day to day basis? I'm not sure, but I am sure the assistants and position coaches are the ones who develop the kids and spend their efforts on getting everything out of them. Please note, I'm not advocating increasing salaries for KOK or Norm, I am talking about the Campbell's of the world. It's a lot harder to attract talent when you are paying out about 1 million less than the traditional power houses who continue to churn out top 25 teams year in and year out.
