This is more on the LBs than the DBs. We have to blitz them because they are bad in coverage and to try and get the passer into passing quicker. This has left the DBs in more man to man than they should be.

Noticed that spearman and Alston both came off for the 2nd and long (obvious pass). Alston was back on the 3rd down to blitz but still shows that Iowa is evolving and figuring out that some are struggling in situations.

I think jake has been coached into a lot of what he does. We need to use more 3 wr and 4 wr sets to give the running game space and use more play action passing. That is the type of deep passing jake can do.
