    Melt down thread

There's few other teams more worthy of being bitten then Nebby. It never gets old.

    Melt down thread

My favorite are all the "but we absolutely won the stat line there's no way we should have lost..." arguments. Have they never watched an Iowa game. They killed us statistically, but only got 10 pts out of it...based on what I've seen year in and year out that's a recipe for an Iowa win.

    Iowa, Nebraska Kicked Off Nonsense

I don't disagree with you, however if it's decided that "winner gets to do it" then as we saw this weekend it's going to continue. I think at the minimum the conferences have to take into consideration whether it's worth it to allow it to continue going forward. If they decide the possible...

    Iowa Kansas

I don't want this to come off as a shot at CC or any of the others we lost last year, but one of the things about having a generational talent is generally there are sacrifices made by those around her to help her reach that level. While I could never say that I wouldn't have wanted CC's...

    nebraska Game Weather

Only NFL game I ever went to happened to also be the worst worst football game I remember sitting through. It was week 17 of 2002 when the Bears played the Bucs in Champaign, because they were still renovating Soldier Field. I looked things up out of curiosity and the temp was in the upper 30s...

    McNamara Done

My two cents... I said from day one that once KF decided to go away from CM then your looking at the future from that point on and no reason for him to even be considered as the number 2 because he simply wasn't good enough. That said this whole thing makes perfect sense to me. You have a QB...

I thought he was only in trailer park girls. Too soon???

The Time to Incorporate Relegation into College Football has Come

I've always been a fan of European soccer so I have no issues with a relegation system. However I agree with those that say in doing so you're penalizing teams like Indiana that are having fantastic seasons and would other wise simply be playing to be promoted at the end of this season. I...

    Hawkeyes Should Look to Future

Good stuff Rob. Always appreciated your contributions to this site. Like Fry said we've all got our differences, but tbh I wouldn't waste my time here if everyone always agreed with each or had the same opinions. That said I've got nothing against anyone on here as every contributes to this...

    Revised 2024 W/L predictions - October addition

The problem is Nebby has never wanted a process guy so if he follows that mentality they'll run him out of town like they have been doing the last decade. And I think while he wants to hold true to that belief he has to know better, because he's about as far away from a rational and logical fan...

    2024 Season Predictions

I'm not calling you out by any means because I would have loved to have seen us cash in on what looked like a favorable schedule, but as an Iowa fan I could never give up on a season with 2 games left not including the bowl. I think if I ever got that point I'd have to take a long hard look at...

So Would Iowa be better off in Big 12?

I may be the outlier here, but damn we're starting to sound like ISU fans. While the results aren't what we wanted two of the losses came by a combined 4 points. I'm not going to say that I'm not disappointed in the current record, but to question whether we'd be better off in the Big 12? Are...

    Hawkeyes Should Look to Future

Valid point, but how do you really prep for next year when you don't know who's staying or going. While playing the younger guys and focusing on the future you're not only giving reps to those younger guys, but you're also giving them and open audition for other programs to to evaluate our...

Trump supporters, how do you square this?

True, but to move it away from politics, I'm seeing more and more BS posts regarding the fake passing of a celebrity or athlete. While I agree that it should be up to the those viewing to sort out fact from fiction, false reports like this are messing with people's lives as well as individuals...

Trump supporters, how do you square this?

To be fair there's nothing wrong with agreeing that something needs to be done about the spreading of disinformation. In general, and I'm not simply applying it to campaigning, but there is a major problem with people making shit up and pushing it all over social media platforms so people can...

Trump supporters, how do you square this?

Can't blame them. I feel like I just went back in time 4 years. Still can't make sense of anything and simply don't get it, but probably never will. Regardless got to keep pushing forward and hope for the best.

Trump supporters, how do you square this?

My take as someone from the outside who's not a very political person or a trump supporter by any means, and I make take heat for this, but here we go. I despise Trump as a person, and not a fan of most of his policies, but obviously after last night I'm in the minority, which as a democrat in...

Get Prepared for some Tough Times

I agree but don't know if I'd say neglected. I think the issue is with the emphasis he puts on defense and special teams and his style of offense whether neglegent or not his priorities came back to bite him in the ass in terms of recruiting, because they definitely don't match.
