I certainly didn’t see this win coming but I did say earlier in the year that this team would compete on a more consistent basis because they play D. Might be the first time in Fran’s era that I’m worried about scoring.

That’s not his game. More often than not when he gets to the rim it is in transition or on the baseline. His game isn’t getting to the rim in the 1/2 ct. Need Joe T to be able to do that and get shots for guys like Joe W and our other shooters... and there’s your problem. There are none

If I were playing Iowa, I would let Smith start on Garza 1-1 and not double. Garza may get his but I'd put it all on his shoulders and put the best perimeter defender on Joe W. Essentially I'd bet that if can contain Joe W and even if Garza has 25 or even 30, I still don't see enough scoring...

This line stinks and above is the only thing/reason that I can put my finger on why the spread is so low. But I also don't put a lot of stock into it as there isn't a large sample size. Furthermore, Carver isn't an intimidating place and the weather tonight may likely hurt the crowd...

Not mental, just physical. Team is just different going from having 3-4 shooters to having 1/2. I'm not upset at this point as the team has outplayed my expectations by far and I'm in a much more positive place than prior to the season. When the pieces are there we are fine and I'm hopeful...

Depth at the wing was my biggest fear for this team. Team just isn’t deep enough to overcome injuries to CJ or Joe.

I'll be first to admit that I haven't watched a ton of other B1G teams but I like how this Iowa team plays D and believe that will lead to a team that competes night in/night out.
