    QB Regression

NFL QB trainers disagree. You might want to do research before acting like you know something. But then again, don’t it’s not as much fun:)

    QB Regression

It’s the weight training, too much powerlifting. Doyle has developed him like a TE or LB, not a QB. Stanley holds records in max bench press and dead lift. Those types of power lifts destroy accuracy, touch and consistency.

California Gives NCAA The Middle Finger

There might be more bloods now, not Iowa. California has the most to gain, the most wealthy and populous state, losing too many recruits out of state. This will stop that. Iowa is not going to be a winner here. NW, Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin will all benefit more than Iowa. Although...

    Kelton Copeland on Oliver Martin

This is actually possible. We don’t know why he was granted the waiver.

    Kelton Copeland on Oliver Martin

This reminds me of the time we had an NFL 1st round TE, better than any of our WRs, but he didn't play that much.

    Brian/Nate's Objective Performance

The problem has been and continues to be the running game (and the OL). This has been a problem for over 10 years and started pre BF. It's ironic. It's amazing we put all these OL in the NFL but haven't broke the top 50 in yards per rush attempt since 2008. We were top 50 FIVE times between...

    This Guy.

Chris Klieman arrived as an assistant at NDSU in 2011, the same year NDSU started their run. So he probably deserves some credit, who knows how much. Listening to the KSU players, they say he has a winning aura about him that rubs off on everyone. We'll see how this all turns out but he's...

Just beat Oklahoma to. I think you’re right the ceiling is pretty high.

    Nate Stanley on Oliver Martin

I'd add, Oliver Martin was offered by Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida, Oregon, Michigan, and a bunch of others. He's clearly very talented. Harbaugh stated he was on top of the depth chart after the Michigan Spring game this year. Some early depth charts had him starting at Michigan (at slot) and...

    Nate Stanley on Oliver Martin

Iowa has been screwing this up a lot this year. When the TE and WR, both on the same side of the center, both line up on the LOS, only the outside guy is eligible. Either the TE or the WR should be off the LOS. We usually run the ball when we do this, so it doesn't matter so much but maybe it...

    Re-Watched the Purdue Game

Stanley also had a designed QB run from the empty set that went for 9 yards. Stanley runs like a fullback or TE but there's more of a surprise element.

    Huskers' Mo Washington

Apparently, he left to California for the bye week and never returned. Missed a bunch of practice. Frost is still holding the door open (rumor has it). Such a bad example for the kids who actually bust their rear-ends. No wonder Nebraska consistently under-performs their talent level. Frost...

    Iowa 2-Deep for Northwestern Game

So no Brandon Smith apparently. Where's Oliver Martin? We could have used him as an outside deep threat this week. Oliver Martin is more Smith-like than Tracey.

    Re-Watched the Purdue Game

We are a better passing team than running team, ironically, so maybe that's why. We only had 3.1 ypa rushing against Purdue. That's pretty bad and it was only about 2 ypa going into the 4th quarter. If we were averaging 5 or 6 ypa, like we should against a team like Purdue, the play calling...

All teams in the West remaining schedules

    Yep, at Iowa.

All teams in the West remaining schedules

I think Iowa will be favored by about 7 against Minnie, we’ll see.

All teams in the West remaining schedules

Also, if we beat Wiscy and Minny, even if we lose a game like Nebraska or NW, we still would probably win the West due to tiebreakers. Minny has a tough schedule, likely 3 more losses, if we beat them. Wiscy plays tOSU so same with them. We must beat Wiscy and Minny though.

    Freshman playing

Major concern next year will be OL and QB. Hopefully, whoever wins the QB job will be somewhat mobile and able to scramble.

    Surprising stats....

Honestly, I’m shocked so much so I’m not even sure it’s right:) How can Stanley be #1 (ahead of Fields)? And I’m a huge Stanley fan.

All teams in the West remaining schedules

Iowa really needs to win out and will be favored in every game except Wisconsin (probably a 12 point underdog vs Wiscy). If Iowa can do that, we will win the West, if not, it will probably be Wiscy, maybe Minny. The biggest thing the Illinois game showed us is Wisconsin can be beat. It didn’t...
