Well I'm always watching the game, instead of having my head down, needlessly Facebooking, so I couldn't tell ya what kinda reception I get..
I guess I can see the desire to check scores and stream live coverage, though. But I think live games are a different thing all together, you have less...
People seem to really hate the fact that college football doesn't fit into a neat little package. And there's no way it can. I, too, would like to see something similar to the NFL in the structure of the season. But let's not forget, these are STUDENT-athletes at academic establishments. The NFL...
Put in time-off requests from work. Specifically the Nebraska game and Champ game, just in case.
I work 8p-4a also so I'm likely going to miss a couple games live. I'll DVR them, but it's not the same.
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit, comparing someone on Iowa to that Tebow.
Okay, okay, if Derby has similar athleticism that's fine, so long as he has a different personality, beliefs, political views, "charity" work, then I'm okay with it.
Since Derby was so adament about playing QB, I think he's working really hard and proving that he can be a great quarterback. I'd be a little sad if he beat out Vandenberg. Being from Keokuk, just 40 mins down the road from where I grew up, playing on one of the biggest stages in college...
Okay, that makes more sense. Thought it was better division record. While I can't imagine this would ever happen you could have Team A going 7-1, but 7-5 overall, and Team B going 6-2 and 10-2 overall, with Team A going to the Champ game. I guess that's once a century type of occurance though...
I never really thought about it, but this scenario could happen and seems so weird to me:
Legends team could go 4-1 in division, 0-3 out of division and play in the Championship, beating out the second best that went 4-1 and 3-0, 11-1 overall.
Leaders team could go 8-0 in conference and play...
First: On the Tim Dwight return against Ohio State, there was a flag, and it looked like a block in the back by an Iowa player?
Two: I'll never forget Brodell's first TD in the Alamo Bowl, that was awesome. Plus the punt return against Iowa State was thrilling. He was still good but not quite...
Something else to add... our last few wins against NW have been huge haven't they? So when we win it's a domination, but I'm guessing we don't lose that badly against Penn St.
First: I thought Prater moved to Safety?
Second: I agree, he's got some amazing run after catch ability. He probably ran well over 100 yards on both his TD's last year, considered he nearly all the way across the field.
Third: If has a good year like we're all hoping, he might not stick...
What if we didn't have Kirk? What if we got somebody else and he had mediocre success? Maybe a couple less bowl games, only one shared Big Ten title, no BCS games, but still an okay run. It seems like in the last 7-8 years there's been a couple new facilities and the stadium renovations. I can't...
Maybe he's like me and thinks unlucky is actually lucky for him. Not that I'm superstitious.
On a side note related to Iowa/Chiefs, read a blurb in either Iowa City, CR or DSM paper that Moeaki is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
When was this?
Looks like the center is having trouble getting the ball up. If that's still the case in six weeks then they'll have trouble moving the ball. Quick offense depends on speed and good timing.
Nothing to worry about, OSU won't make it to the championship game anyway. They'll win some games, and maybe have a decent record, but they won't win their conference. If they do, I'll be totally disgusted.
I say good thing. I don't want a guy that's an academic liability. I can't imagine he could handle the academic and football workload. If he were the #1 or #2 guy I would hate to have to worry every week whether or not he'll play.
