Maybe I'm not thinking correctly but...

Padilla has never gotten as fair of a shot as Petras. Even when Petras was injured. Would like to see an alternate reality were Padilla has started for 2 years...

    Preview, Prediction: Iowa-Ohio State

We've all heard about how Iowa makes teams drive the length of the field without making mistakes, if they score kuddos to the other team. Well, that doesn't work so well against the elite offenses like it does the Iowa States of the world. Our only chance is a reliving of the 2010 Iowa at OSU...

    Explosive plays

I guarantee they have something new for Ohio State. Seems like a trend with this staff. Lets just hope it is not the wildcat. They hear the noise. Look Iowa has some good pieces. They just need to figure out what each player is best at and adapt. A system is nice, if you have the right pieces.

If, on the 1% chance Iowa can somehow beat OSU in the Shoe,

I would love for Iowa to win. But for some reason I don’t even want them to look competitive. 2014 was the year for me, Kirk had to be forced to play CJ Bethard the next year and win 12 games. Luckily for Kirk he didn’t stick with his gut (James V) so he still has a job.

    Offensive Weekend

They are stuck on thinking, if the offense scores too fast the defense won't get enough rest.

    Padilla…”What’s the upside?”

Cool. Still should have been fired. The University gave him a third shot to right his own ship, does the guy need a forth?

Nothing will change until Kirk wants them to change. period

They improved their recruiting big time these last few years, which was exciting for everyone. All life now drained out of the program.

    Padilla…”What’s the upside?”

He is. Doesn’t give a sh1t what anybody thinks. Dude should have been fired in 2014.

    Padilla…”What’s the upside?”

They have never given Padilla a fair shot. I don't care what anybody says about last year. A week or two of practice with the ones, and a bad play caller obviously with a grudge against even playing the kid in garbage time or preseason should not be an indication of what Padilla is capable of...

    Padilla…”What’s the upside?”

We look like a MAC level offense.

The Only Way This Mess Can End Well.

IMO Kirk retires this year. Brian will not be retained.

    Slate article on situation

Kirk will not shame his son in public. The man will step down before admitting that being a mistake. In fact I bet he retires this year and everybody on the staff will be looking for a job.

Oline has been on a downward spiral ever since Doyle left.

We have all seen lesser programs have successful offensive production against P5 defenses. No ones fault but the coaches. Petras is capable. The o line is capable. Everybody else on offense is capable. They would all play on other teams and be productive.

Kid does what he is asked. Petras missed some today, but man that O line and play calling is not doing the kid any favors.

A thoughtful evaluation of the Iowa Offense on twitter

Phil Parker with a big checkbook for an OC would be a good start.

    Paul Chryst out at Wisconsin.

They bounved him because the DCs have carried that program. Why pay the head coach when the DC is responsible for any success?

Zach Wilson would have never been drafted if he came to Iowa.
