    New Scoreboard at Kinnick?

I am wondering at what point they look at expansion of stadium seating? anything in the works already? I would assume any expansion would require an upper deck of some sort? just a thought...

    Tracking 2011 class offers

Was curious Homer if you had any scoop on a couple WR's. WR seems like it should be a point of interest considering our graduation losses and with only two confirmed verbals for the class (would assume at least one more, and realizing French could very well head out of state). Kenny Knight (MI)...

Lets just say your the Captain.

I'd have open auditions in the Kinnick parking lot before letting him play this soon. Without knowing exact circumstances behind the situation, you can't just show back up at practice, grab you pads and tell coach, "I'm ready, now!" At this point, no way he plays this year, even if he was at...

Wisky LB Borland out for season...

Huge loss for a Badger team hoping to break out this season. There defense has been mediocre already IMO and Borland is All-B10 caliber. Wisky is skating by so far this season, and a game @ Mich. St. is looming.

Head Scratching Betting Lines for this Week

Beware of the mid-week home underdog! I'd be very careful taking Miami or TCU this week. The mid-week home dogs are tough to beat, and I believe recent history will prove my point. (Just don't have it in front of me at the moment)

Since when is 1 loss, a total loss?

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I think, even after a loss like this, that Iowa has turned the corner. I can see seasons with expectations like this year coming in the future. Next year should not be a fallout IMO. Without knowing if anyone leaves early and what not, I see no reason why...

Kinda seems like a no brainer. I'll take undefeated over one loss any day. If were undefeated, we still win the conference and still going BCS.

    re-watched the game last night

I re-watched the game last night myself, and a good observation on ur part OP, but I came away with a few myself... Offensively, as far as the line play goes, Arizona was definately more physical then I expected. But, I don't think that was the problem. My initial thoughts after Sat. night...

It's not the coaching, nor the...

I do not see any good examples in the last game where Arizona benefited from this so called speed. I will not argue that speed is needed to play at a high level, but Iowa has plenty of so-called speed, enough to make it an unexcusable reason IMO for a loss. And to even consider blaming any of...

    If anyone can stomach it...

I actually found that rewatching the game made me realize that my initial reactions of the game were not as bad as I had thought. There were a lot of stellar performances by certain players during the game that were overlooked by the final score.

    Arizona a first real test

I stand corrected. Would explain why they are not on my betting sheet tho.

    Arizona a first real test

First off, Iowa State will not make a bowl game, and that is not supposed to be a smack against them, its just there schedule is THAT tough this year. No way there bowling. Secondly, regarding AZ, I love the fact that they had a bye this week. I know the initial thinking is two weeks of...

James Morris - poised for big things?

with the LB's this year pretty well set to start the year, barring injuries or a drop off in play, I would think a redshirt year should be in line for Morris. I would hate to kill a year of eligibility just being a kamikaze on the kickoff team, and maybe some spot roles throughout the year. If...

    Pick one rivalry to drop.

+1 The atmosphere at Camp Randall is great for football, but I love the Floyd. And as much as I love the Floyd, I will love playing Nebraska. They can get rid of both Minny and Wisky, just as long as the Bug Eaters are on the schedule every year. There's way too much bragging rights needing...

Who gets their way in alignment: Wisconsin or Iowa?

Very true. The Big 12 did drop the ball on that one. But the fact is the Big Ten has too many so-called rivalries. Each school I'm sure has one that stands out. Heck, each fan does, and they may change over time. The fact is every rivalry game can not get played every year if you want...

Who gets their way in alignment: Wisconsin or Iowa?

Wow! this guy is just full of Optimism. Not possible to beat all the teams in the Big Ten, eh?

Who gets their way in alignment: Wisconsin or Iowa?

I personally don't care for this whole "protected rival" stuff. I would like to see a schedule similar to the Big 12. However they decide to divide the conferences, we play an 8-game schedule, 3 from the opposite league, and then the other 3 the next year. This **** is getting way to damn...

    Black and Gold Spirit Day

I think the idea of a Black Out, vs. Penn St. (where they obviously have the traditional "White Out") would be awesome. I can already here Musberger talking about the difference between last years white out in happy valley and this years black out in iowa city. Didn't make it to the black out...
