I would agree the Badgers don't look very fierce lately. Kind of rodent like in fact.

Some shooting stats from this evening to make us put our last night dry spell in perspective. Stanford went 10+ minutes w/o a fg in their loss to AZ. Wisconsin had THREE different 7+ minute no fg periods and O$U had a long one but not sure exactly how long.

Really enjoyed seeing the Badgers go down. Actually was rooting for NW. BTW, Badgers are not rodents, they're a member of the carnivore order (Mustelidae) and related to Wolverines, Mink and Ferrets among others. The Gophers are our only true rodents in the big ten.

Lickliter 24 minutes played, Payne 28 minutes played

Since 1982, I have watched basically all of the Iowa BB games that we could watch whether we could see them at home, had to go to a bar or even bought a sat dish to see them. Durin this time, my co-watcher (a former Iowa pole vaulter) was always there. During the Alford years we were always...

    Adam Woodbury is a HAWKEYE

Some more Billy Paultz nostalgia. Attended the Iowa/ Arkansas NCAA game back in the eightie s in Salt Lake City. Iowa had among others on that team Todd Berkenpas. The game was at the Utah Field House (now the Huntsman Center). Was walking up to the front door and wlking towards me was the duo...

    Adam Woodbury is a HAWKEYE

Another point would be that in my opinion, a good coach looks at his personal and after doing so puts together a plan for the season and each game where the idea is to put the players and team as a whole in the position of best being able to utilize their skillset to win games. We have to play...

    Adam Woodbury is a HAWKEYE

My point would be that with this team at present the center position is needed for defense and screening and other off ball things. we can do very well w Woodbury/Ole at the center position. Another point would be that complete, dominating big men are few and far between, Kansas has one in...

    Adam Woodbury is a HAWKEYE

Re the dominanting 7'1" center and the need for one, just checked the stats on the 70-71 team which is among the best Iowa teams ever. The center on that team was Dick Jensen fom Madrid, Iowa. He averaged 3.9 ppg. Not sure how many of these were dunks. Minutes/game don't seem to be available but...

    Adam Woodbury is a HAWKEYE

I think if we look back, almost all of Iowa's big men in my memory didn't do much until their Jr or Sr years (many never). We just need to get off of being critical w AW. The things most fans notice (i.e. missed dunks and lack of vertical) may not be the aspects of his game the coaches are...

    Adam Woodbury is a HAWKEYE

For those of you that have the Minnesota and OSU games on DVR, I recommend you rewatch Woodbury. On most of our curls, Adam is the one setting the pick. Also watch to see how quickly he outlets the ball on the break. He is also in the right place on our 2/3 zone. We need to look at his...

    McCaffery Makes A Difference

For the record, the Marian University Basketball team won 23 games last year. Not sure what the 2010 teams record has to do with Lick.

Give Gesell The Keys - QCTimes.com

Let's hope Gesell isn't the shooter that Jeff Horner was. Jeff was a career 39% shooter.

    Harold Sullinger

Very talented player. As I remember, lived in Quad his freshman year. Liked to be called his nickname which was "Brief".
