    People poking around Hospital Records

Doesn't ESPN claim to have spoken with parents? The article I read was quoting parents. IF so then there is nothing illegal or unethical. The parent (if the athlete is under 18) and the athlete can share their medical info if they want.

    Updated ESPN report...not looking good...

Let's say this kid has lost 30% of his kidney function... The university told the public (I can't say us) in the presser that the athletes looked to have complete recovery. This contradicts losing 20-30% of his kidney function. What happens if the kid loses another 20-30% of his kidney...

I have spoken to several former Iowa Football players today

As I said before. PLenty of college teams crank out NFL prospects without putting kids in the hospital. Look at iowa in the past. Besides a player has said that this is the hardest workout he has ever performed and he is a Junior.

Example #2 Ahawk. Again, please point to the "venom" I have posted. I have merely participated in a thread about 13 guys getting hospitalized. Amazingly there are a bunch of people that agree with what I am saying or who I agree with. I have said nothing derogatory about the staff or the...

Doyel again: Iowa player's kidney function below 40%

Correct but after he got fired he started a satellite company and still owns it.

Doyel again: Iowa player's kidney function below 40%

Don't disagree with that at all. And he sells satellite TVs not air conditioners. just pointing out that Doyel made wrongfull accustaions and at the time it was the straw that broke the camel's back

Doyel again: Iowa player's kidney function below 40%

The connection to Wayne morgan and ISU proved to be nothing. It was nothing more than ISU paying a company to schedule non con games. There are some grey areas with other schools getting players for games etc but nothing was ever proven through a NCAA investigation. This is typical Doyel...

Doyel again: Iowa player's kidney function below 40%

FWIW- He is the guy that broke the D1 Scheduling story (non story) that ultimately got Wayne Morgan fired. Just like this, he threw out a ton of innuendo with no factual proof.

Doyel again: Iowa player's kidney function below 40%

Just for arguments sake, if you were not from Iowa and say another state, I doubt you would call the Des Moines Register. I do agree that Doyel is an idiot though and I wouldn't believe a word he says.

Yes, and it is also a good place to get some information on the current situation. Besides, I don't despise all hoks. Most of my best friends are hoks. And really this thread was a good discussion until Jon had the sarcastic "we" respsonse and jozzer called me a DB because I don't like iowa...

I have spoken to several former Iowa Football players today

Like I said, I lived in Wisconsin and their fans were more than gracious and not condescending. Lived in Illinois and can say the same. Lived in Colorado and their fans rank right up there with iowa fans. Funny thing is there were more Nebby fans than CU fans. Unlike a lot of Clone fans here...

I have spoken to several former Iowa Football players today

What am I stirring up? I came on yesterday to see what was going on as my friend has a son on the team and I couldn't get a hold of him. I agree with Jon that people should wait and count me in the group that thinks it was do to the workout or a supplement the kids probably took on their own...

Grew up in Eastern iowa and my whole family are hok fans as was I. Parents still have bowl parites every year. Had siblings that attended iowa. Then I went to ISU and after a couple of years became a Clone fan. Cheered for both teams during college except when they played. Lived in Wisc, IL and...

I have spoken to several former Iowa Football players today

No doubt I don't like iowa. Not out of jealousy. As a matter of fact I was a hok fan for 20+ years growing up. Had a couple good friends play for them and have the son of a good friend on the team right now. Actually cheered for them when I lived away from iowa. I pay attention because my...

Board of Regents & Iowa Release Statement

Or maybe they are doing their job and are addressing a serious issue and no one has a hardon for the hawks. Just a thought. I guess Iw ould be surprised if they didn't request info.

Media-types can be real tools at times...

Bernstine has stated it is the toughest workout he has ever gone through so it is possible that the workout was changed. Who knows? Doyle isn't speaking and Federici couldn't tell anyone what the workout was in the presser. The silence from Doyle and the sidestepping from Federici about the...

Sorry Jon...I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to listen to the presser. You do know that it is a presser and anyone with good hearing can listen to it via radio. Heck, I can even log on and watch it on my computer. Since I am part of the general public, and I am referring to what myself and...

Exactly. We will get the "Chris Doyle is highly respected in his field and one of the best in the business. This is a training method we have used for x years and we have never had this issue. We are uncertain as to what caused the hospitalization but we are looking into the matter and we will...

Even if it means putting kids in the hospital? Gotcha. Plenty of schools get well conditioned athletes without putting them in the hospital to acheive the results. As a matter of fact, Iowa has done this quite a bit. I don't recall 12 guys going to the hospital after going 6-6 and before going...
