VOTE: The Biggest Iowa FB Plays in Last 50 Years

Stanzi to McNutt takes it because no other Hawkeye team has ever gone 8-0. Plus on that drive we had to get in the endzone, as a field goal would not have been enough. Getting it in the endzone is harder when they know you are going to pass than a getting in field goal range. Tate to Holloway is...

Can we get an upset please?!

Not happening Oregon State can't stop them when they get them to 3rd down.

    Dace has a broken bone

Seriously. His arm was stiff and out away from his body after that hit, it just looked bad. I thought he was knocked out cold, I am glad he walked off the field.

    Dace has a broken bone

Man.... Poor guy can't get a break. I saw that guy roll over his ankle, and I was hoping it was only a mild sprain. I really feel for him.

    Anyone else in tears

I just about lost my voice screaming on that last play, and I am still shaking. This team is going to give me a heart attack this year. First 2 blocked field goals and now this. But, I gotta admit it feels good to be 8-0!!!!!!

    Accuscore says. . .

Just like last week Accuscore has us as the underdogs. At least Scouts Inc. on ESPN insider picked us to win this week 24-20. Last week both of them picked Wisconsin to win 24-23 or something like that.

Why Iowa will be better part VI

I'm going to be surprised if Cole doesn't start at the 5. I don't think Cougill is going to be ready to start as a freshman, I think he'll come in off the bench for Cole. I agree with the above poster we may be looking to go with a 4 guard look on the court with Gatens and May playing the 4 off...

Three Hawks Make Midseason All American Teams

I'm glad Dace is getting some recognition after everything he has gone through during his career. It's a real show of his character to persevere like he has, as I am sure it has been frustrating at times. About Clayborn though, I can't believe he cant get much recognition this year. I've only...

Why Iowa will be better part VI

I think mainly people last year were worried about not having a guy, that when the team went into one of those long scoring droughts, could be the go to guy to get the offense going. Kelly was that guy last year at the end of the season. I mean, I was at the final game of the year vs. Penn State...

    May

May is definitely physical enough to guard the 4 at times. I'd imagine he'll rotate between the 3 and 4 positions. Does anybody know how good his ball handling and shooting are? I've heard that he still needs to work on his ball handling skills and get a little more consistent from long range...

    Donavan Johnson

Thanks Jon. I had posted this thread before that was up, but either way it's good to hear he is sticking with the Hawkeyes.

Iowa Hoops Will Be Better Than You Think - PART FIVE (Strength)

I fully expect Cole to have a good season this year. At the end of the year last year he was really crashing the boards, and I expect that to continue this upcoming season. I think we will see a jump in points and rebounds for him this year. I'm also wondering who will turn into the go to guy...

Donovan Johnson staying committed to the Hawks

I'm hoping we can at least find a gray shirt offer for him. He looks like he could be a good be a good DB or WR for the Hawks.

    Old Man Beano says:

The three games where Iowa's opponents have scored the most points are Arizona 17, Arkansas State 21, and Michigan 28. In all of those games Stanzi threw a pick 6. So, the defense has only allowed 10, 14, and 21 respectively in those games. The defense has been solid all year, they are going to...

Pryor's HS coach says to take the reins off of him

I don't know how hard it would be for Ohio State to prepare, as they don't necessarily have to change systems. http://www.rivalryesq.com/2009/10/19/1091665/what-to-do-with-terrelle That article talks about treating Pryor like Mack Brown treated Vince Young. Just have him drop back and only...

Donovan Johnson staying committed to the Hawks

Good I was wondering if he was still planning on taking a visit to Nebraska. I'm glad he's sticking with the Hawks.

    Spievey

If he goes I would love to see him on my Packers. They love physical corners Charles Woodson and Al Harris are two of the most physical in the league. Harris doesn't have elite speed, but his physicality keeps him from getting beat too much.

    Spievey

I saw the replay and I think you're right he didn't really get caught looking in the backfield. I actually think he thought he would have help over the top from Sash or Greenwood, but they were caught looking in the backfield.

    TE from Ill.

I don't think that is true. He was scheduled to visit Iowa when Michigan was in town, but a couple of days before the game the Illinois coaches convinced him to go to the Illinois game instead. Everything I've heard so far has him still wanting to visit Iowa. I would guess he'll visit either...

Jeff Fisher wears a Peyton Manning jersey?

Wow..... I think that is funny, but probably because I hate the Titans. I would be mad if I was a Titans fan, but I think I'd be even more mad if I was a player of his.
