Week 1: Northwestern

Some of these don't make any sense. Minnesota at 16? Arkansas at 17? Alabama at 20? Northwestern/Dayton at 23/24???? Huh?? At first I thought it would be an April Fools joke type thing but it was published on March 31.

I like the way you think. That a way to be optimistic. I think we'll surprise some iowa fans these last 4 games. Gonna put some more attention to defense and rebounding.

People also learned the hard way from the Big 10 Championship game not to wait till the last minute. It works both ways and no one scenario is the same. Unless both teams go into the tank, I think its pretty much guaranteed both Iowa & Kansas are playing in Des Moines.

I heard a stat on Saturday (before their game) that Marcus Paige was like 1 for his last 22 three point attempts. Should North Carolina bench him? Players have off games. Players have stretches of off games. Gesell will be fine.

Actually we ran something a little different at the end of the 1st half. Wasn't Gessel isolation. Still didn't work. Gessel is still a very important piece on this team. He played poorly last night but its just 1 game. He still may be a little injured. We don't know. On to Northwestern.

The Big 10 Tournament is in Indianapolis, not Chicago.

Case in point. Tons of empty seats in the student section at Carver (unless they're let in for free).

I'm pretty sure Iowa does not oversell their student section. They probably should. I know Iowa State does, which is why they'll have a line outside of Hilton just to get into the building. I just don't understand our students. Why buy the ticket if you're not going to go to the game...

Where is this cliff you speak of? My part of Iowa is pretty flat.

I have the same exact feeling towards that game. There's no doubt in my mind that we can beat MSU. OSU is just a bad matchup for us.

I plan on coming with a group of 6. We don't have any tickets yet though.

I just looked online. There's a about 5 full rows available in the corners of the east sideline. A bunch available in the North endzone and a ton in the south endzone.
