Isn't the definition of a trap game when you overlook someone you feel you're better than and looking towards the next opponent? I doubt Iowa is looking ahead to Rutgers. Now the Illinois game between Michigan and Nebraska is a true trap game.
Iowa needs to put King on Lazard and blitz the $hit out of that inexperienced OL. Iowa was very vanilla in basic D yesterday. Confuse Lanning and that OL and the D will be fine.
That isn't DirectTV's fault, that is MLB's fault. Hell in Des Moines the MLB Network has blacked out the Yankees/Red Sox or even other games where the 2 teams aren't even close to the Des Moines market.
I think the fans will show up, everyone knows what NDSU has done the last 5 years. Also not sure what you mean by no big TV but the game is on ESPN and not BTN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
You also have to remember it is much easier to turn around a basketball program compared to football. Get 2 NBA talent guys and you are on your way. You won't compete in football with just 2 NFL talent guys. You should be somewhat competitive in basketball by year 3 even without NBA talent...
It's no secret, he is a good not great mid major coach but a horrible power 5 coach. If and when he gets canned at UCLA it will be very difficult for him to get another power 5 job.
Really? I mean seriously, really? How many times have we all yelled "make a damn layup!" "make a free throw"!
Missed free throws and missed layups cost them these game, not calling timeouts to "set something up".
