which game do you least want to lose?

ISU then NDSU.

Say we crush ISU, big drunk home crowd, etc. Next week, 11am game, no big TV, fans don't show up. Team doesn't show up. We'd be on ESPN forever.

I think the fans will show up, everyone knows what NDSU has done the last 5 years. Also not sure what you mean by no big TV but the game is on ESPN and not BTN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.

NDSU has the look of that classic "trap" game. It follows an in-state rivalry game at night... preceeds the Big Ten opener. I don't like it. I'm also bringing my neighbor, who's kid goes to NDSU.

That being said, I want to smash the Gophers. My kid is enrolled at the U of M and I'll be tailgating with inlaws. Need to shut them all up.

I first wanted to say Wisky because to me that's our biggest "natural" rival at this point. But, if Iowa does what they did last year and shiticks the bed the last game at home vs Nebby to muck everything up, that would be pure suck-a-tood. So, this year Nebby.

Muck Fichigan! They didn't do anything worthwhile last year and they don't have a quarterback and their offense last year was pedestrian but all the National pundits are down on their knees bowing down and other things to all things Harbaugh. Every national magazine has mich on the cover verse OSU or little Michigan who actually did something last year. I hope they trip all over themselves and we pound them into the ground like 2001.

ISU. Don't want to listen to their smarmy fans for a year if we lose. We'll have to hear how Cambpell has them back, ISU has a winning record vs. Ferentz blah blah blah.

Part of me wants to say ISU just because I'm around their fans more than any other team.

Another part of me wants to say Nebby... Every year that goes by puts their historical success farther in the past and less relevant to today's recruits.

Another part of me wants to say Wisconsin... Their program seems to be the most similar to Iowa and we compete with them on recruits.

1) nebby (I live here, i like how quiet they are these days, i'd like to keep it that way...and beat them to go to the B1G)
2) ndsu (can't lose that one - perception is reality)
3) isu - I don't really have a problem with them, but they have nothing but to play spoiler and live for it
4) mich - they haven't earned the love they are getting, I'd like to see them humbled.
5) minny - cause.... they annoy me.

Normally I would say clown u. so I don't have to hear them talk but they're going to claim they won anyway so I'd say Michigan. I want the hype train shut down on Harbaugh.

For me it's Michigan as that would give us a big boost nationally in terms of perception. The knock last season was that we didn't beat anyone good (not true, but that's what was said) so beating a Harbaugh coached Michigan team that is getting love as a national champion contender would be big.

Logic says Minnesota. They have an easy schedule and a loss to them would mean they would have to lose 2 other games at least for Iowa to get ahead of them in the West.

Heart says Wisconsin. I f'ing hate Wisconsin.

Well I read your title a couple different ways...

If Iowa goes 1-11 on the season I'd prefer that one win is vs Iowa State.
If Iowa does what most expect and wins 8+ games, the one I'd least want to lose is vs Michigan. Iowa keeps getting blasted for a "weak" schedule, so to beat a team who is projected to be great this year really ups Iowa's "street cred"

Didn't realize ESPN would put lowly ol Iowa on TV vs an FCS opponent. Will wonders never cease!....now, if they'd only paint the water tower....

The last game of the year, no matter who the opponent is.

B1G championship game. I'd rather win that than a regular bowl game. If that leds to the playoffs, then your answer.

Every conference game is important, especially against the West opponents. The non conference is only important if we go undefeated in the B1G.

ISU. They have the worst fans in the country. The last thing I want to hear is their delusional fan base crowing and thumping their chest for an entire year.

100% agree, Minnesota. Live up here for a while and you'll figure it out soon enough. They have Hawk envy, for the most part have been looking up at Iowa since the 80's. Can't stand that dumb chant. Should have really beat them down last year, our D game plan that game SUCKED. Will be a tough one in that house of horrors up there, some awfully bad Goof teams have taken down some good Hawk teams.
For me, the four rivalry games are equal: Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin and the Clowns
