Tennessee at #10? Is that an SEC thing or a Tennessee is good thing?
Better not squander that starting position. Seemed like last year the Hawks were penalized for both having a "weak" schedule and for not being ranked. Strength of schedule is arguable this year, but ranking is probably where it should be.

I don't think road games matter unless your one of the darlings of the media.I wonder if the "Iowa's schedule is weak" crowd will point out that Michigan, Michigan St, and Ohio State play 5 home B1G games and Iowa plays 5 road B1G games?
I just took a look at the Iowa schedule and it is pretty ridiculously weak. The best think to happen to Ferentz was when Rutgers and Maryland joined the conference and the hawkeyes were put in the weaker division. You would think Iowa could win eight or nine games pretty easily, then they will be overrated in their bowl game and get beat by three touchdowns.
I can't wait for all the stations to show a ketchup & mustard bird when we win the B1G title.Did anyone else notice that if you follow the link to the USA Today, click on a ranked team you get pictures of the team, stadium etc.? On Iowa's you get WVA beating Iowa State.
I admit that I'm not a big fan of football whoever is playing. I use to be hooked on it when Hayden Fry was at Iowa, but Ferentz broke me of the habit. I happen to see a story where Iowa was ranked, and if they were playing the same type of schedule a few years ago, I doubt they would be ranked. I apologize for adding my opinion; because, it doesn't really add to anything. I haven't been following football for the last three years.Weaker division? That is a myth, East vs West 2014 7-7, 2015 7-7. Yes, B1G champions came from the East the past two years......Wisconsin prior to that...3 in a row. Nice attempt at trolling there Cyclown.
