Weber Names Speraw, Yoder To Coaching Staff

From article:

“I’m excited to welcome Drew and Dustin to the staff,â€￾ said Weber. “Drew comes highly-recommended from Fran McCaffery after having worked as a graduate assistant at Iowa the past two years. He’s a quality young man, who is the son of coach (Kirk Speraw), and a great addition to our staff. Dustin did a great job for me as a manager for three years at Illinois and has the added experience of working as an assistant coach at the community college level the past year.â€￾

Speraw arrives at K-State after spending the past two years at Iowa as first, a graduate manager (2010-11), and then as an administrative assistant (2011-12) for head coach Fran McCaffery. He also took on the added responsibility as the team’s video coordinator during the 2011-12 season after the departure of another staff member. In 2011-12, Speraw was part of a coaching staff that improved the Hawkeyes’ win total by seven from the previous season and helped the team earn its first postseason win since 2003. In all, he helped Iowa win 39 games in two years, including 18 victories and a trip to the second round of the NIT in 2011-12.

My heart jumped when i saw Speraw join the staff until i read down further , now i gotta calm down......... whew!

Well I hope the coaching staffs stay together for few more years to bring Iowa back on top of B1G.:)
I have a feeling that the Team and Staff are in it for the long run to past glory, Atomic. In a way I cannot blame Ryan Bowen for leaving the team to go to the Nuggets as a wise career move......
