Let the portal madness begin

I saw this morning that Kaspers kid is getting in the portal.... Hear me out yes he's damaged goods of sorts and been injured alot. But that's why we outta be able to get him cheep. He hasn't played much but call me crazy I think his 6'6 210 lb athletic frame is worth kicking the tires on. Barnes has to put in a call to see if there's any interest at all. My guess is he'd probably lean towards going closer to his home in AZ somewhere but who knows. Since we shouldn't have to break the bank on a QB this cycle (at least that's my hope) we can splurge a little for a much needed WR/DB/DT. Having a WR core of 6'4 RVZ 6'5 Howard and 6'6 Kasper would sure be something we've never had before.

These next few days are going to be nuts. Hopefully we don't lose any key guys and can add some big ones.

See that Koi Perich is entering the portal. I know the Hawks were recruiting him pretty hard. He would be a good fit in my opinion. If he does end up leaving that is a big blow to the Gophers not only a good player but a highly regarded in-state recruit.

Didn't know that. Would be a pretty big loss for Minny. I think the kid is a very good DB but to be honest I never really saw much out of him as a punt/kick returner. And, they tried to pretend that he was some two-way threat and put him in for a few offensive plays that never amounted to much. All that being said, he could really fit in with our defense and learn a lot from PP.

Really surprised to see that. He's practically a folk hero in Minne. (think Cooper DeJean) No doubt he's looking for a payday.

Feels like a perfect addition to our DB room. He's the player to be named later in the trade for Nestor. We need a replacement for Wetjen too. Makes one wonder why he's leaving though is he looking to break the bank NIL wise or find a great fit not too far from home? I'm sure Barnes and KF will kick the tires to gauge his interest

I think he would fit as a Hawk but I think OSU or Miami gets him. He almost was Buckeye and his old DC is at Miami and may have the inside track after this year's success. He is going to get paid anywhere he goes.
