Unless Delaney can politic for Iowa.

Anything can happen. There aren't any hard/fast rules for the NIT either. They can take anyone they want theoretically. Have to hope.

My suspicion is that Barta has nothing to do with it.

Who else would be involved in the decision. The AD doesn't report to the regents. I can't believe Mason would get involved in this.

Do they even have the right to influence something like this? Besides didn't the B10 come out and say there are no rules prohibiting it? Barta's own quote mentioned "business reasons", the B10 can't give a **** about whether or not Iowa makes or looses money and I can't think this is about the TV deal.
