I'd say that is pretty successful for a .500 ball club coming off a half-decade of losing teams.

That's solid. Our last 6 home games or so, the crowds were as good as they have been in a long while

Not too bad when you consider (not-too-long ago) some local high school games had as many fans in attendance as Carver ...

Sure seemed like we had more than 1,000 fans show up this year that weren't there last year. Than again we are going off paid #'s. I bet butt in the seats we averaged 2500 more this year

Those numbers are an amazing step in the right direction. Not much of an increase overall but a lot of that is due to who they scheduled.

Next year the non conference should get a nice increase in attendance as we all are anxious to see this recruiting class in uniform plus the Iowa State game should get a full house.

The problem with our attendance is that iowa is still 4th lowest on %. Next year should see closer to 90%. I think this is a better gauge of team attendance.
Spank, do u have the conference attendance % for last year ?

sorry spank. I am excited about our increase in the last 3 years. I would assume the 10,000 + in lickliters last year, that we were last in % in big ten. The increase is massive between these 3 years.

This assumes arena capacity did not change in the last four years. Iowa did reduce theirs by 100 seats from last year to this year. MSU bumped up 38 seats in 2010 - they have sold out for many, many seasons.

Last year we had the highest attendance increase of a non-tournament team.
This year conference games increased 8.7%

Solid.

Scary how bad it got, only PSU had a lower attendance to capacity %.

I don't see that as a problem. This just means Iowa has a bigger arena than some of the other schools. Heck if Iowa had the capacity of Northwesterns arena we would be talking about consecutive sell outs even during bad seasons.

Iowa has a large arena. I would guess top 25 in the country.
