Cougill/UWGB

The point is, though, he could have probably helped Iowa for a couple years.

Maybe, it would take a lot to convince me that he would make a difference.

To me helping Iowa at this point would be him starting, would he be starting at Iowa?

Iowa's bench is solid and I will gladly take Woodbury and Meyer over Cougill any day.

Would he be a differnce maker? Is Cougill the guy that would have gotten Iowa over the hump against Nebraska and Purdue? With him on the roster would Iowa lose to Campbell?

Not a difference maker, I will rest my faith in the unknown, rather than the known.

agreed. not sure about joe fan's obsession of ripping into players like this. that guy was pretty good here as a true freshman. great hands, great touch for a big guy.

but like the poster above says, if you have class issues, that's not going to cut it.

Not ripping Cougill, I just don't feel the help that he would give Iowa would be significant.

If he plays well where he is, great, glad for him.

Also, it is funny how guys that leave seem to look so much better than what is left, that is what upsets me.

People seem to marvel at what Fuller was doing at USC before he was done for the season. He was doing the same thing for Iowa, nothing more.
The guys that are at Iowa, stuck with Iowa and Iowa stuck with them. Iowa has holes in their roster and from everything I have seen, there would be no difference in the Iowa team with or without Cougill.
