Alabama LSU is lowest-rated BCS Title Game ever

Not surprising in the least considering how the game played out. If they didn't just play a snoozefest a few months ago, people might have given this game a chance after it started out slowly. I for one stopped watching after 6-0 because I wasn't going to sit through another boring game between two teams I couldn't care less about.

It is important to note that this is only the 2nd BCS champ game not on network TV. Although viewers were down 24% from last year when it was also on ESPN.

I clicked over a few times. Just didn't care. No way can they stretch the bowl season out the way they have and make it succeed.

It was a snooze fest.

Additionally, I agree with others...they are stretching the bowl season too long. I don't care anymore.

I think the latest figure was like 13% or something like that only have OTA.

Go look at the list of the top shows from 2011, I think the top 100 are all network shows.

Actually it's closer to 15% now, and that doesn't include those who get the bare minimum family pack from cable or satellite. That includes only the networks, public TV, a few kids channels, and TWC, and a few other throw-aways. My brother and sister have the basic plan on dish so no ESPN for them.

Haha touche. but still these were the best two teams in the country by far this year, and the past few years IMO. how do you not want to watch that?

cphawk82. what was so bad about the game? because both teams have good defenses? that it wasn't two high scoring teams?

There were two great D, one serviceable O, one downright terrible O, and a mixed bag of special teams.

Ideally we'd see great everything. Falling short of ideal, I'd prefer seeing some form of strength vs. strength.

Oh yeah, the other thing that was "bad" about the game is that it didn't really tell us anything about who was the best team in college football this year. I would say this was probably the worst part of the game, actually.
