The Big 12 is Dead

If ISU ends up in the Big East, which is almost a certainty, they will have a better chance to play in a BCS bowl game than Iowa will!!! How? Because they would be one of the best teams in that conference with their talent, facilities and budget compared to the other teams giving them the AQ from that conference. Iowa will struggle more in the Big Ten with the division let alone the title game that will ultimately decide the Big Ten's AQ. ISU could realistic compete for Big East titles more so than Iowa could compete for Big Ten titles.

Just who I was looking for, I know we had a wager on last weeks game.

Nope you really didnt show your face last week before the game. I was here and I really didnt see you. You didnt take my bet for UNI. But you still get to look forward on your season bet with a couple other members. 7 games still. which means you have to beat texas and baylor correct?

Well, yes. In the 1800's Grinnell was a power team. You're aware there was no BCS then, right?

ISU will remain in an AQ league and I'm not sure why that bothers you so much?

Grinnell wasn't in a conference until 1919. Again what conference was isu a member of in the 1800s.

W this week and in two weeks against Texas, W against MU OR Baylor, and so on. We have had better QB play than I accounted for so 7 is realistic and the thing is, who laughed at me on this site? You were one of them.

I still laugh at you. Still a lot of season left, wouldnt it really suck if your offense ... Janz... tears an ACL or another injury making Tiller the starter? We all know how Tiller plays.

I am laughing at you mostly because of your delusional conference ideas. It is also very apparent you have stuck your head in the sand regarding isu being left out in the cold. I am also guessing that you are connecting the iowa victory with some sort of pathetic idea that ISU is now an attractive option for conferences seeking members. You know that old "we're set now baby. We beat Iowa and there is no way in heck we'll be left out".

Why the hell would you say something like that?

I am not discussing this anymore on a message board. But the win over Iowa means as much as they do in scope of college football, nothing.

Its ok, we know you are depressed about the big 12 probably falling apart, and that you wont be able to suck money from good teams while the clowns sit in the bottom of the big 12 again. But look at it this way, the clowns can join CUSA and actually compete in CUSA. Heck, you could possibly win it!

Good one, you lost all credibility with your lack of not holding a commitment and your username. Maybe Iowa should look to CUSA, they may be able to compete with 10 walk-ons in the two deeps?

I'm watching this thread and laughing at everyone involved.. but this post takes the cake for so many reasons.

Probably the most because you claim you won't talk about it on a message board anymore, essentially giving up whatever argument you started here.. yet making one last stab at trying to feel better about yourself in the finish.

Sad tragic message board poster award goes to..

Ya it sucks that Iowa punishes their players for their wrong doing. Yet, when a clown assults a peace officer he gets nothing but a, "Don't do it again."

Why should any of this be discussed with a rival or any addition information be put on a message board? One of three things will happen, its a new Big 12 or a Big 12/Big East merge or the Big East.

I'm not sure what you're driving at here;

ISU has played major conference football as long it has existed. From the Mo Valley to the Big Six, 8 and XII, ISU has been in power conferences.

You do realize that Iowa's first varsity game was against Grinnell and that Iowa occupied the Mo Valley (with ISC) when it was a power conference, right? If your argument is that ISU hasn't been in power conferences from the beginning you're wrong.

Why are you here defending these things to the death?

Can you just not stand a lot of the dumb posts in this thread so you have to bring all of yours into the fold as a sort of balancer.. again, like you said, on a rivals message board? Why do you care what people here think? I'm not defending the posters in this thread.. as there is so much mouthbreathing going on in here, it's deafening. But, what passes will pass. We'll find out how alignment and conferences fall soon enough. What's the point of arguing about it here?
