College Gameday at Iowa

If everyone wins the games they are suppose to who see's College gameday being in Iowa City for the Wisconsin game? Do you think they will wait and see what happens and bank on the Ohio State vs Iowa matchup?

Week 8 we are home against Wisconsin. The only other game that appears will be big that weekend would be LSU @ Auburn

Week 12 has tOSU @ Iowa and a potentially big game with Wisconsin @ Michigan. Other than that nothing else good.

What say you?

I think Wiscosin is going to get beat at MSU this weekend, and that Ohio State will beat them in Madison before they come to Iowa City.

OK so maybe it would be the Michigan State @ Iowa ??? They might go to LA that day for the Oregon @ USC game.

I know I'm probably in the minority but I really don't care if they come or not. First off, we've lost every time they've done a game in IC. Second, the show is not as good as it used to be. Third, I have 9 month old twins and pre game is devoted to taking care of them (My wife takes them during the game. It's an agreement we have) so I haven't really watched it so far this year anyway.

I get that it's exciting for alot of people and that it brings some cool attention to Iowa City so from that perspective i get the desire to have it.

Best bet is Ohio State if it's for the Big Ten championship and OSU is undefeated.

Wisconsin will lose to either Ohio State or Michigan State or both IMO so that game will be out if that happens. Can't see them coming to IC for Michigan State.

ESPN is banking on the Big Ten title/Rose Bowl being on the line November 20th. No way they show up for any other game

If you look at Oct. 16, its Ohio St. at Wisconsin. ABC has it scheduled for prime time. That tells you they are billing that as a likely College GameDay, provided both are still undefeated. Obviously then, they wouldn't do Wisconsin at Iowa the next weekend. I also do not think they would come for Michigan State, regardless of the records. I do think there is a big chance they come for Ohio St. at Iowa, even if we suffer another loss before then.

I'd love to see GameDay come to Iowa City at some point this season...just so I can ask them one question..."If Iowa beats an SEC, Big12 or Pac-10 team, is it because those conferences can't handle 'the slow of the Big10'?"...

Gameday would likely show up for the tOSU/Iowa matchup, if it's for the Big Ten as it was last year. Our loss to Arizona already has made it unlikely that it would be for which Big Ten team would get sent to the NCG. However, if everything 'goes according to plan' for Iowa, it could be the de facto conference title game...

Iowa-Wisconsin is still to early to warrant a gameday, IMO. Plus that weekend you have... (current rankings)
#1 Alabama at Tennessee
#6 Nebraska at Ok State
#8 Oklahoma at Mizzou
#12 LSU at #10 Auburn
Purdue at #2 tOSU

And several other perhaps "intriguing" matchups.

LOL

Ok, outside of the LSU game, none of those games are gameday worthy.

Purdue at OSU? Come on...

I didn't say they were necessarily all Gameday worthy, but games where top-10 teams with potential shots at the NCG are playing. Plus that's why I highlighted the LSU-Auburn game.
