Huskers Suspend 2 More

I never read the story. Did that guy have pictures of his girlfriend when they were under 18, then they became child porn after he was 18? That's a weird situation that could get some kids into trouble. I never thought of that before.

that’s the gist of it. It might have been his friend’s ex-girlfriend. But yeah, revenge porn by an 18 yr old
No excuse for it.
it’s not the same as child porn from 38-yr old human traffickers

I simply put Nebraska in the same category as Ohio $tate, Pedo State and the Michigan State child rapists. No rules; just win at all costs so our moronic fans can thump their chests and talk about "restoring order" or "we've won more national championships than you have." It is sad and pathetic.

Nebraska is so isolated they have the potential to be much worse. At least those other teams have to worry about getting caught.

Based on piecing together the things said in a thread on the Husker site - the guy was sent a video of his girlfriend and 2 of his friends back when he was in high school. He kept the video for many years and then when he was visiting home over the holidays this last year he tried to hook up with his ex. When she wouldn't, he sent her the video from back when she was 15. So he kept a video of a minor for several years (speculation to follow...) and then presumably used it to try to shame her into having sex with him?

Apparently the girl had filed sexual assault charges against the guys in the video and the Husker guy didn't know that so she took it as a threat and that was not the way he meant it. This is the part where it gets murky on how serious the legal ramifications are since it is he said/she said and potential misunderstanding (bad decision making regardless).

I'm pretty sure "intent" doesn't matter in the felony portion of the charge. It's pretty cut and dry. Did he possess and send images or video of a minor engaging in a sex act? If it can be proved that he did (which it sounds like they can), then he's guilty. If they can't prove it, then he's not guilty. The misdemeanor portion of the charge does have to do with intent because it's regarding revenge porn with the intent of causing emotional distress.

Either way, if the felony charge hasn't been settled, you don't play the guy until it is....it's that simple. And frankly, if Washington would have cooperated a lot sooner (the article shows that he ignored numerous communication requests from law enforcement) then this may have been able to be handled a lot sooner as well.

Just one problem. They aren't winning.

When you can't make up your mind whether a player charged with felony child porn should play in a game or not, you're probably not a good candidate to be a leader of men. Just sayin'......

Nope, but definitely the perfect candidate to be leading the Huskers.

Nothing to see here. Simple...if the players are ‘scrubs’, boot them from team to ‘make a statement’. If the players are stars, handle w ‘in-house’ punishment and suspend for them for Towson State game.
