Hunter Johnson to Northwestern

My wife sells back to school notebooks and folders. I keep saying shes living in the past because eventually all kids are going to have tablets and laptops and wont need folders anymore.

Then I hear tons of stories like yours where kids destroy anything and everything they get their hands on, and suddenly her career seems pretty safe ;)
Not exactly the type of school we went to now is it?

I believe there will come a day when we won't need schools anymore. All teaching will be conducted via some sort of social media.

Old school buildings are not cheap to upgrade or replace. Nor are the taxes.

You look at the stress put upon married couples with both parents working, career stress, raising children, perhaps dealing with aging parents, it's a miracle that any marriage survives. Many married couples simply either don't make enough time for each other or are too exhausted to take advantage of the time when they do have it. Kids are downright insulted if parents insinuate that they may be more important to each other than the kids are to them. My wife and I, who are closing in on 22 years of marriage, can't even fathom the behavior of children that our kids will be raising in 10-15 years.

Back to football, the will be a Hunter Johnson playing this fall. He will be a redshirt freshman for Wisconsin. He put up monster numbers, Brandon Wegher type numbers against small school competition at Darlington. The last I heard he may be moving to the defensive side of the ball so perhaps it will be Johnson tackling Johnson someday.

My wife works with the behavior kids. NOT FUN! Some are just absolutely horrible. I'm not sure what they did with these kinds of kids when I was younger but we didn't have the extreme kids that she works with. I'm sure much of it is the way these kids are brought up now with one parent homes, etc.. There are some messed up kids out there. Some just don't have any empathy for others.

She gets hit and bit, they've turned the teachers desk over, they've slammed down laptops on the floor breaking them. She even had a 3rd grader state to her that he was going to put his _____ in her mouth. Her job has luckily now shifted where she's more evaluating for the school district but there are still teachers putting up with this crap.

These kids have no consequences at home and take that to school where the state limits the consequences that the schools and teachers can set. Complete F upped system. Some of these kids need to be in a boot camp school to really scare the shit out of them and to learn to respect.

<<She even had a 3rd grader state to her...>>

Have her watch "Last House on the Left" for how she should deal with that if it should ever get to the "extreme"...

I don't get why some people think marriage is unnatural. I've been married close to 25 years with no regrets. Do I notice if a hot woman walks by? Of course i do.But that doesn't mean I love my wife any less or I'm not happy in marriage. Why is it unnatural to want to make a commitment to someone you love and enjoy being around?

As far as animals not having the same partners for life, well most animals will mate with their siblings too so I'm not sure i want to be like them.

BTW, who on this board said there was nothing to talk about in the offseason?

I just don't think marriage is "natural"...and I say that as a married man with 2 daughters. There are very very very few mammals that exist in the world who pair up and are together for life. In fact, the closest animal genetically to humans is the chimpanzee, and just like tksirius, they'll f*** anything that walks. Look at it this way, if marriage were natural, why do married people still gawk at celebrities and younger more attractive people? Why is porn a billion dollar industry? You'd think if marriage were the natural order of things, once you got married you wouldn't continue checking out the hot waitress in the tight pants...but trust me you do.

If it’s good form you that’s great. It’s not for everyone, though. I cringe at the idea; potato/potahto..

First of all more power to you both. Whatever makes you happy go for it. It's just such an individual thing as to what reasons we all have for why we feel/do what we do. But man these sort of stats just blow my mind.

41 percent of first marriages end in divorce. 60 percent of second marriages end in divorce. 73 percent of third marriages end in divorce.

It's like adults are as dumb as when you try teaching kids to not touch the hot stove but even after having done it once some are dumb enough to do it again.
For some literally pissing $ away isn't that big of a deal. Myself it would make me sick to know that as hard as I've worked to get what I've got then have to give so much to lawyers and her just to get out of my life.... It's just not worth the risk. And I don't believe in prenups. Because to me that defeats the purpose of getting married. If you remotely feel that that's necessary than why are you getting married? It's not out of trust that's for dang sure.

I wasn't suggesting marriage was wrong at all, but there's overwhelming evidence that shows our physiology wasn't designed for it. That being said, humans do a lot of things that go against our programming...we (usually) take care of our weakest and poorest individuals instead of just letting them die off...for example.

Lol I'm not going to debate if marriage goes against physiology, because I think that is a personal thing. Some are built for it and some are not.
However even animals take care of their weak and poor (to the extent an animal can be poor).
The argument that isn't in human nature is dumb. Only Psychopaths think like that.

Except evidence shows that married men live a lot longer than unmarried men.

Speaking of psychopaths, I'll donate $10 to the charity of your choice if you get rid of that fucking avatar. Nobody wants to see that shit anymore. It was a giggle for a couple posts but now it's like you're forcing us to look at your asshole while we have conversation with everyone else. I'm down with you having whatever fetish you want but Jesus Christ man, do it in your own bedroom. I hope you don't shit in the street or eat your boogers in front of other people. That's kind of how I'm imagining you right now.

Deal. Donate it to the children's hospital.

That's because like it or not women are good for us.
We eat healthier, drink less, do less dumb stuff when they are around.
In youth when you are strutting your stuff to attract a mate it's not so bad, you are still pretty healthy.
I have always noticed things and when it comes to men and women, I have noticed #1 when all the kids are out of the house, most women start cooking different. Not as healthy or as complete of a healthy diet. #2 if the woman dies first, (assuming they are fairly old) the men go down hill extremely fast.
However if the guy dies first women seem to just go on about things. I know women who have been widowed for 20 plus years, single and just keep ticking. I don't know one man like that.

I know for a fact I enjoy my life a hell of a lot more than many of my married friends. They’ve told me so.

I could live to be 100 years old but if I had to talk it over with a spouse every time I wanted to take off on a fishing trip, or buy a vehicle, or remodel part of my house, or any other life decision, you might as well shoot me in the head now and get it over with.

Much like @Hawkfnntn and I can’t wrap our minds around why someone would want to get married, people who are hardcore “marriage enthusiasts” will never understand our viewpoints. Goes both ways, diff’rent strokes for diff’rent folks.

And yes, I know very well I’ll eventually be all alone in some cheap ass nursing home getting spoon fed steamed carrots and wishing I would have gotten married.

NW is selling beach front practice facilities and PJ is a pushy fast talking hyper Putz! That's all I can think of. I guess kids now a days like all the flash and hype.
Beachfront? You ever been on the campus? Anyone considering Northwestern for anything related to the beach probably doesn't meet the NCAA academic eligibility. There are hundreds of schools with actual beachfront property. Northwestern is not one of them.
