Couple of big D1 commits today

Tanner Weatherman of Ballard (Huxley) has commited to ISU.

Jesse Thielke the #5 recruit in the country has given his commitment to stay in state and wrestle for Barry Davis and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Neither is a huge surprise but thought that they were both of interest to Iowa fans.
 


Seems like were not in on as many big timers as last recruiting season. Maybe I'm wrong, but other than Destin McCauley, its pretty unknown.

I'd keep an eye on some names like Destin McCauley, Morgan McIntosh, Jade Rauser, Val Rauser, Logan Storley, Kriss Klapprodt, Cody Krumwiede, Cody Caldwell, and Bo Schlosser along with a few others among the top 100 recruits.

Remember that the Hawks don't have as much money to spend on next years class but at the same time they won't have as many holes to fill either...
 




I don't think Weatherman was a surprise at all _ had we even offered? Not to say that he's not worthy, I just didn't know if we had needs at his weight.

Glad to see Barry get a nice recruit. I prefer to see the best in-state kids go to IU, but secretly dream of Iowa/ISU being No 1 and No 2 in the final standings pretty much every year so not too upset to see Weatherman head to the Clones.

Just really hate the CLOWNS alltogether no reason just brought up that way! funny story off base but went to ISU vs KSU game when my buddy was getting recruited by the clowns in highschool went with to eat the free food and gatorade big deal in HS and wore a KSU shirt in the recruitment section of jack trice toiletbowl stadium and loved every second till they tried to tell me to take it off and i said naaaah i'll put my sweatshirt back on

That class is signed, sealed, delivered to Iowa City already. This years class has yet to have a verbal yet but I'm guessing we'll hear something soon.
